i know that sophia and daphne are at the movies and it's getting late so i'm currently on my way to pick them up.
as i'm waiting there i hear an unfortunately familiar voice.
"aiden. oh my gosh it's been so long." leah cheerfully says.
"yeah. i'm happy about that." i say without looking at her.
"look i know it ended badly but i mean you never showed that you cared for me. i just wanted your attention. isn't that sweet?"
"the only thing you showed was that if you get bored you'll cheat." i say and she scoffs.
"well i've changed."
"right. in what, two weeks?" i asks sarcastically.
"well i-"
her words fade away as i see daphne walking out.
she meets my eyes a couple times but not for too long and it's clear that she's not too happy with leah here.
a song is playing on the radio in the car and sophia gasps.
"daphne loves this song. she's missing out."
"oh really?" i say and pretend to sound uninterested.
when sophia looks out the window i decide to turn the song up a bit.
she has good music taste.

the message has been left on read for a while and i sigh.
leah didn't even join us in the car. i'd never let her.
i decide to text something she'll answer to.
me: any more texts?
nerd🤓: yeah, someone saw us at the movies
she texts and sends a picture from the conversation.
nerd🤓: not to be rude. but if it's you just tell me
aiden: why would i do it?
nerd🤓: idk, it's kinda unclear if you're an honest person
a disappointing feeling takes over my body.
