"look what ethan got me." sophia says excitedly and shows me, aria and taylor her necklace.

"it's beautiful." aria says and taylor nods.

"yeah, i wish i got gifts from boys." i pout and sophia laughs.

"you've had your chances but you always reject them." she shrugs.

"why? are you not interested in boys?" aria chuckles.

"i like men." i say and they laugh.

"well you are eighteen." sophia shrugs.

"yeah i guess. hey where's my phone? i wanna show a picture." i say and look for my phone.

"hey aria, can i call it from yours?" i ask and she nods.

i take her phone and click on the right numbers and wait for my ringtone to be heard.

"there it is. thanks." i smile at her.

"daph! there's someone here for you." mom yells while i'm in my room.

i walk down the stairs and find aiden there.

"hi?" i say confused and look at my mom that smiles at me and then leaves.

"wanna go for a walk?" he asks and i look at him a bit unsure.

"please." he says when i don't answer.

"fine. let me just get some better clothes on." i smile and he chuckles at my outfit which is a long tshirt that barely covers my ass.

i put on a hoodie and some jeans and then a jacket on top.

"where do you wanna go?" i ask.

"let's just walk around somewhere." he shrugs.

"okay." i chuckle.

"i've been wanting to talk to you. about the cinema and leah."

"why?"

"she just showed up. i didn't even drive her home."

"okay." i nod and he sighs.

"i am an honest person. i never invited her with me. and i never dated her."

"well it was close to dating." i point out and he sighs once again.

"i wanted to test you."

"test me?"

"yeah. i wanted to see if you'd care i guess."

i don't know what to say and for a couple olof minutes we walk in silence.

we reach a bench close to a forest and sit down.

it's dark outside. and cold. the only light is from the moon and the lamp above us.

"what's up?" i ask him.

"what do you mean?"

"i'm assuming something is wrong?"

"i just wanted to talk." he shrugs.

"am i supposed to believe that?"

"yeah. is it that weird that i want to talk to you?"

"well we're not really friends so..."

"we are though."

"no." i laugh and he smiles.

"we are."

"whatever."

"you like me."

"i don't. you're the one who's always after me." i argue and he chuckles.

"true."

"are you ever worried?" he asks after a while.

"about what?"

"about telling sophia."

"yeah. graduation is soon and i feel like this person is gonna out us soon."

"yeah that's what i'm thinking too."

"but i mean. we could tell her before? but what if this person is only messing with us and won't tell her?" i say.

"maybe. but if we were to tell her, what would it be?"

"that we made a stupid mistake...a couple of times. but we're not anymore."

he only hums and looks down.

"was it though?"

"what?"

"a mistake?"

"i....i don't know." i sigh.

"well this was nice." i say and give him a small smile.

"yeah. i liked it." he says and looks at me.

we look at each other for a while.

"i'm gonna get inside."

"wait." he says.

he walks even closer to me and pushes hair away from my face. he grabs my cheeks and looks at me. he pulls in and gives me a deep kiss. i place my hands on his wrists and kiss him back gently.

we pull away after a while and i try to get my breathing back to normal.

"i've missed it." he admits.

"me too." i smile sadly.

i can't be with him. at least not until we've talked to sophia.

as i'm laying in bed i remember that i'd gotten aria's number and decide to make her a contact on my phone.

i'm about to text her when i see that we've already texted.

i just didn't know that it was her.
