I'm a straightforward girl. I see what I like and I take it. It's been the same when I was little and it's still the same now. So when I went out clubbing with my friends that night and I saw this highly attractive guy, I just knew I had to have him...

"Oh honey, I thought you died," Tammy cooed as she rushed towards me with open arms. I readily accepted her hug.
"Are you wishing death on me?" I joked, pulling away to glance at our table. "Where's Bella?"
Tammy rolled her eyes and pushed me into a seat at the table.
Per my request, we agreed to meet at a popular coffee shop within the Pelican Mall. I needed it to be public enough so my... shadows could keep a safe distance but still have me within their sights. I'd hate to walk around with them trailing so close to my back. Besides, it was easier than explaining to the girls.
I glanced behind me and at the table full of men. Their presence already drew the attention of many, their big builds hulking over the table with Anya sitting in the middle. Anyone could tell it was a table of werewolves. They were engaging in conversation, trying to blend in, but I could see their heads slightly tilted in our direction, listening in.
"Our dear Bella is over there," she pointed. "Chatting up a storm with the barista."
I looked over and sure enough, Bella was seen giggling with a dark-skinned man. His million-dollar smile was charming, so I wasn't surprised that she was interested.
"What happened to the werewolf she was seeing?" I asked.
Tammy shrugged. "She said that's her sneaky link. They can't be together anyway, since he's a wolf."
I nodded.
It made sense. I wouldn't advise her to catch feelings either. Wolves highly valued their mates. Anyone they met before them became collateral damage.
"Sooooo," I smiled teasingly. "How are you and Jacob?"
She smiled at the look on my face and fanned herself. "You're gonna make me blush."
I laughed. "You're already blushing."
She giggled, then sighed, her eyes glazing over in thought. "He was always a good friend, but I'd never imagined he'd be such an amazing lover."
"Outside or inside the bedroom?"
"Both."
I whistled, clapping my hands. "Jacob, my man. I didn't think you had it in you."
"I'll tell him you said that." She laughed.
I shrugged. "Hey, you can't blame me. The man waited for way too long. If it wasn't for my help coercing you, he'd still be pining like a lovesick puppy."
"Coercing is a bit..."
"It got the job done." I winked.
She rolled her eyes and smiled. "Whatever."
"I'm gonna go order a coffee and bring her back," I thrust a thumb in Bella's direction.
She nodded solemnly. "Good luck. She might be too far gone."
