I'm a straightforward girl. I see what I like and I take it. It's been the same when I was little and it's still the same now. So when I went out clubbing with my friends that night and I saw this highly attractive guy, I just knew I had to have him...

"Where are you going?"
The question halted my actions, causing me to look at Remi in confusion.
"To the bathroom?"
"I'll come with you." He closed his laptop and stood from his desk.
Dereck coughed a laugh at my befuddled expression.
"To the bathroom?" I asked to make sure.
He rounded the desk and placed a hand on my back, gently nudging me towards the door. "Yeah."
I dug my heel into the floor and whipped around to stare at him. My face grew gloomy.
Ever since I'd come back from my 'kidnapping', Remi had truly refused to leave my side. He'd accompany me everywhere. To the bathroom, the office, and even when I went on walks around the castle. To appease his worries, I stayed in his bedroom and didn't stray far unless it was to accompany him to his office. However, that seemed to have made no difference. He simply did not allow me to do anything alone.
It was stifling.
I glared at him. "Are you going to watch me sit on the toilet and drop a good one?"
His expression didn't change. "I'll turn my back."
"Are you perverted? It'll smell!"
"I'll cover my nose."
My fingers twitched, and I refrained from knocking some sense into that big head of his. I took a deep breath and grabbed his hand, opening his palm to cup my cheek. I looked at him pitifully with a pout. "I promise, I'm only going to the bathroom. It won't take any longer than ten minutes. Just stay here and focus on your work. Don't let me distract you."
I kissed his palm for good measure, and warmth slowly bled into his eyes. Just as I thought it had worked, he said. "You're never a distraction to me. Let's go."
Exasperated, I looked at Dereck.
He turned his head away and started singing softly to himself.
I curled my lips in distaste. "Your singing sucks."
He snorted. "I have a heavenly voice."
"It's hellish."
"You're just taking your anger out on me. Go pee. I'm tired of this stifled atmosphere."
"Are you running me?"
"I'm running both of you!"
"Let's go." Remi grabbed my arm and tugged me forward. I looked at Dereck one last time, clearly distressed.
He blatantly ignored my look and let Remi drag me out of the office. I swore to get back at him.
I stared at our intertwined hands as Remi led the way, my lips pursed.
