Chapter 2- New News

~time skip to 7am in the morning~

You heard a little ding of a bell as you entered the cafe.

"Hello...William?" You called out.

He did say 7am right?

"Hellooooo?" You raised your voice.

"Is anybody hereeee?" You asked and heard a clattering behind the counter so you leaned over to investigate.

"Y/NNNN!! You're here!" William's head shot up from the counter and you jumped back, almost banging heads with him.

"Why were you hiding?"

"Sorry, sorry... I didn't hear you y/n. My hearing isn't that great and I was cleaning up a smashed glass" He sighed.

Please don't let this man be crazy, I need to get out of that rusty-dusty ass hotel.

~time skip~

"And that's everything you need to know! The others will arrive shortly. Just a warning that John is quite...well...he might look mean and scary but trust me he's good person and Mary is quite energetic and kind, I think you will get along. OH! I almost forgot" He franticly rushed around searching for something and he returned with a black apron with a brown embroidered coffee cup. "Here you go!"

You wrapped the apron around you and tied it tight. Soon enough, two people entered and Williams eyes lit up. John was tall and muscular with a well kept beard.

William was right, he looked intimidating.

Mary had light tanned skin and green eyes her brown hair was put up in a low ponytail and she looked smiled eagerly at you.

There was only a few customers today, it was a small cafe so that's what you expected.

John didn't say much but there wasn't any problems between you two and Mary was so kind she kind of  acted like a mother and took charge of most things.

As you cleaned the countertops, scrubbing hard on a spot that won't budge. William approached behind.

"So, y/n how was your first day?"

"It was great, thank you SO much for this opportunity William! I really needed this job." You replied and gave him a genuine smile.

~three month time skip~

You have finally gotten your own little apartment 10 minutes away from the cafe and your friendship with your co workers was improving a lot. You were happy with your life right now, You finally had your own apartment and the cafe was getting quite popular.

But as you began to go to work to open up the cafe you saw a dapper man outside waiting with a broad smile. He was tall and wore a brown and white suit with a bow tie around his neck. He had light brown skin with dark brown hair neatly combed and flattened, with round-framed glasses placed on his nose.

"You're here early" you grinned and opened the door for the man.

"Well, I decided to skip the morning busyness by getting here early. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with this new cafe. I heard the coffee is well-made and I want to try some."  He said, still smiling.

"Here take a seat, how would you like your coffee sir?"

"Black, please." He replied and picked up today's newspaper.
