Chapter 53- Smashed

Y/N POV:

"Im okay! Just dropped a few things, nothings broken!" You lied, not wanting to worry Alastor.

Shattered on the floor was, what you assumed his mother's cooking pot. It smashed as you were reaching out to the collection of labeled jars.

Shit shit shit...he's going to kill me...why would you put something like that so high up?!

"Shhh, Please don't tell him, I'll fix it before he knows" You begged his shadow, not wanting to upset him. It was to no avail when it faded away to report to Alastor.

"Oh cmon" You groaned, rolling your eyes and dashed up the stairs to apologize. As you ran into the room Alastors brows were furrowed and he glared directly at you.

"I was only trying to reach up to open the top cupboards. I'll fix it, please don't be mad." You stuttered, holding in your tears.

He didn't respond and looked at you frustratingly. You narrowed your eyes at Alastors shadow and it disappeared away.

Snitch

"I'll get some glue and fix it, it will look good as new!" You exclaimed but he still wore the same expression.

"Are you hurt?" He mumbled.

"No..."

"I'm not angry at you, the pot is easily fixable. It's just the fact that you lied to me." He said in a bitter tone.

"I just told a little white lie, I wanted to avoid your feelings getting hurt!" You snapped in defense.

"Little lies can pile up and you would just be digging yourself into a deeper hole." He sighed. "Now just put the shards in a box and I'll glue it together once I'm better." He explained and you huffed in annoyance and left.

~time skip~

You collected all the ingredients and perfectly measured out each one. As you dropped and mixed it all together a smooth green, neon fog swirled around.

"He said this was normal right?" You glanced over anxiously at the shadow looming over you and it nodded in response.

You took a step back and the green smoke dissipated into thin air. You placed down two large ceramic cups and poured the contents of the tea into them delicately.

You held one in both hands and carefully headed upstairs, making sure you didn't fall over or spill it.

You sighed relived, when you made it to Alastor and gave him the warm drink.

"I followed your recipe correctly and each measurement was triple checked." You stated.

"I trust you." He spoke and took a sip.

He knows exactly what he just implied. You rolled your eyes.

You felt your chest tighten at his words, it reminded you of what he said about trust and honesty and the small argument you had.

"I'm sorry for lying, you're correct. I shouldn't have done that, I was only dishonest because I know how much you loved your mother and I didn't want you to be sad...for something I broke" You sniffled and lifted the cup up to your lips, drinking it. The taste was Earthy but surprisingly pleasant, you wouldn't want to drink it again though if you had a choice.

"For future reference, always tell me the truth. I accept your apology, come here." He called you over and his face relaxed.

You sat down beside him and your body tingled in the spots where your wounds were and you stared at the cuts in your hands healing speedily.
Only a few seconds went by and you were completely healed.

"That was incredible! How does your leg feel?"

"It takes a bit longer for an injury as severe as mine to heal" He looked more alive and all his smaller cuts and bruises completely healed. "Hmm...give it two or three days and I'll be back to normal" He smiled.

"Okay I'm going to run myself a bath, I was putting it off for a while now...you could probably cook an egg from how greasy my hair is" You laughed and stood up, beginning to stroll out to the bathroom attached to the bedroom.

~time skip~

The perfectly heated liquid covered your body and you relaxed into the water that un-tensed your muscles. You hummed in satisfaction and closed your eyes, savoring the moment.

~small time skip~

You wrapped yourself into a soft towel and slid the door open, Alastor stared at you up and down in awe.

"You're staring Alastor~" You smirked.

"You are a very attractive woman y/n, it's hard not to~" His half lidded eyes followed you as you approached him.
