Chapter 18- Broken

Alastors POV:

The night was going so well of course something bad had to happen.

Y/n carefully stepped over the broken shards of wood and looked around. Her apartment was trashed. Everything was turned upside down and smashed. Tears fell down as she was picking up pieces of what remained.

"Who did this? What if I was here?" She sobbed and sat down holding a shattered porcelain doll.

"My nan gave this to me and now it's broken" She sniffled and held it closer to her chest.

I sat down beside her and gave her a tight hug.

"Chère it's all gonna be okay, we will find out who did this. Do you have any idea?" I asked.

"No...it could've been those three men maybe. I didn't think they followed me home though. I should've looked around. I'm so stupid." She hid her face in her hands and cried.

"Don't worry y/n, would you like to stay with me? No one will find you, you are safe with me."I insisted and she nodded. I gently stood her up, put my arm around her and took her to my car.

"Come on chère" I helped her in. Her face was shiny and wet from all the tears.

~time skip~

Her sobbing eventually stopped and she looked exhausted.

I finally pulled up outside my house and helped her out.

I'm going to find and slaughter the person or people who did this. Why would anyone? I'm confused She hasn't pissed anyone off recently?

I assisted her to my spare bedroom she was still shaken by the fact of someone looking for her. She didn't speak a word, just nodded or shook her head.

~time skip~

It was late at night and I could hear her muffled crys.

What should I do? She's all alone? I should check on her.

I walked down the hallway and lightly opened her door.
She sniffled and looked up at me. Her face was all red and sore. I felt so bad that I wasn't here earlier.

"Chère, what's going on? " I asked and sat on the end of her bed.

"I'm scared Alastor, I'm so scared..."

"I've told you before, no one apart from you knows where I live. You are safe, even if something happens I will always protect you. I'm very skilled and you have nothing to worry about!" I said proudly and it made her laugh a little.

"I know it's just that your house is so big and I've never really noticed before but I can hear small creaks of wood and I keep thinking it's foot steps." She explained and sat up on the headboard.

What should I do? I cant stop the noise? She's not gonna sleep

"Would you like to sleep with me?" I asked.

"What?"Her face turned a bit shocked. "Don't you think That's a bit too fast Al?"

I tilted my head confused but then the realization hit me.

Lewd thoughts entered my head but I dismissed them quickly. I could feel my heart beat rapidly in my chest and I took a deep breath.

"No nono no no just sleep! Nothing more!" I shook my hands pretending not to be flustered.

"Yeah I would like that Alastor, thank you." She got up and headed to my room and I followed behind. She immediately curled up and wrapped the covers over her.

"I need the blanket too y/n" I chuckled and yanked the whole blanket off of her. She gasped.

"Alastorrrr gimme it back!" She demanded and let out a small giggle.

I threw it back over her and I laid down. I have never had anyone sleep in my bed and it felt weird.

"Goodnight chère" As I turned around I felt her leg wrapped around me. I jolted at the sudden touch.

"Don't fret I just want to hug" She laughed quietly.

I felt my body warm up and relaxed. This was nice.

Y/N POV

~time skip to morning~

You woke up with your legs around him, hugging him loosely. He stared down at you in awe. His hair was slightly ruffled and hung down in front of his face.

"tu es belle ma chère."

"What?" You looked at him perplexed.

"I said you are beautiful my dear."

"And are you~" you sat up and pecked him on the cheek.

The wasp is still somewhere in my room and it keeps whacking its head on my window. Right now I'm sat outside my door waiting for it to fly it's ass out.
