Chapter 10- Lonely

Alastors POV:

~time skip to the morning~

I need to go to the shops to get clothes for y/n and some groceries. What should I do... she can't come with me, she could just run off. If I leave her here she might try to escape again, I can't keep her locked in her room all day...what am I going to do?

I sat on the edge of my bed rubbing my temples trying to think of an idea.

Maybe I could persuade her or threaten her? Maybe a bit of both?

I should've just killed her. I was so close but I felt bad.

I looked at my hands angrily.

Why am I like this, I shouldn't have ever gone to that cafe. I hate this situation, I hate this feeling.

I have to leave her here, it's too risky to take her with me. What should I say?

I took a deep breath in and stood up. I walked over to my dresser and picked out my casual suit, I got changed, tied my bow tie and went downstairs.

I was going to make some breakfast for y/n and tell her that she is staying here alone for a few hours while I go out.

I unlocked her door and went to the kitchen.

~small time skip~

I heard the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Good morning, dear" I smiled at her.

She came over and sat down on the chair with her head looking down.

"I've made you some porridge and there's plenty if you get hungry again later. I'm going to get more food today and some clothes for you. Do you still have your key to your apartment?" I asked.

She shook her head and gave me a nervous look.

I felt bad, I'm not sure why.

"Dear, I just want to say you are not a prisoner. I just don't trust you at the moment after last night. I'm not going to hurt you." I reassured her.

"...okay" she quietly answered looking down and fidgeting her fingers.

I should cheer her up. Hmmm...

"What did the coffee report to the police?" I said.

She looked up at me confused. "Huh?"

"A mugging!" I laughed and held my hands up pretending to surrender.

She let out a slight laugh."Alastor...that was so bad."

"I made you laughhhhhh" I replied with a smirk.

"No, you didn't" she said and crossed her arms and turned her head away with a smile.

"Haha, if you say so dear. I must leave now, I'll be back in only a few hours." I laughed but then turned my expression into a more serious one. "You can explore and look around the house, I don't mind that but do NOT go into the basement." I said with a threatening tone. Her face had a slight shocked expression and nodded.

"I have a small library with plenty books if you get bored. Don't do anything stupid and don't die, bye!"I remarked with a happier tone and a wide smile. I left and locked the door behind me.
