Y/N POV:
You switched from feeling sad, irritable and angry, to regret and heartbroken.
I didn't mean a single word I said...where's alastor?
"Alastor?" You called out, creaking open the door.
"...Alastor?" You glanced down and he was gripping his hands tightly in his hair.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it. I will NEVER want to change my life if that meant I didn't get to meet you...I would rather die than leave you abandoned again. I will love you till the day I die, Nothing can change that." You wiped your tears and hugged him close, trembling into his chest.
"I know...it's just hard hearing you say stuff like that. Especially since I've lost sleep thinking about you." He embraced you tightly back and you stood there for a while, listening to his heart thumping against your ear. Your shaky breathing eventually slowed and your tears dried.
"It never came to my mind that you missed being a radio host, I'm sorry that I didn't realize sooner. If you want we can listen to music and you can talk about stuff that interests you and maybe tell a few jokes that I always loved to hear on the radio." You chuckled and he grinned down at you in excitement.
Alastors POV:
"Really? You wouldn't mind chère? I would love that!" I exclaimed.
It's not a bad idea, it will be a good distraction for the morbid things that plagued my mind recently...
"Before we do anything, I need to tell you something important." I spoke with a stutter.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"I have an idea to get our lives back, I can make a deal with a very powerful person...I've been strongly warned even thinking about this by my mother. But I-"
"No." She interrupted.
"What?"
"If this goes horribly wrong, then we lose everything. You said your mother didn't want you to plus your shadow behind you looks terrified." She pointed behind me with her hand on her hip and I shot an annoyed look at my shadow.
"At least let me explain." I begged.
"Fine" She sighed, standing back a little while crossing her arms.
"There is a book that I've always wanted to read, it's locked away in the library. It's always had an eerie atmosphere surrounding it, there are very few books explaining what it contains but each one has a unique way to warn you not to get even close to it. It holds an ancient being capable of limitless deals and possibilities..." She looked mesmerized at my words as I continued to explain.
"...I know that it can wipe the memories of this world to a certain extent. Everyone will forget us and we can go back to living our lives together, not being trapped up in this house."
"This sounds risky but I don't want to be stuck in this place anymore, I miss William and Mary...let's do it." She smiled and nodded up at me.
~time skip~
As we entered the library, I searched around for the old book. After a few minutes, my eyes met a rusty, dark chest with a padlock.
"I think I found it y/n." I called out for her and jiggled the lock in an attempt to break it.
"This feels creepy, are you sure we should be doing this?" She trembly asked, kneeling down next to the small, aged chest.
"..."
I smashed the lock, bashing it with my foot and a faint green glow flashed.
I gradually pulled the lid up and it revealed a leather covered book with a metallic pentagram stuck to the center. It had another small padlock, trapping the pages.
"I really don't like this, we are not opening that book." She held my hand and tried to pull me away.
"Y/n let me read it, I won't do anything without telling you. I promise. How about you wait outside?" She immediately left and I lifted up the heavy, metallic book.
