Alastors POV:

"You can leave y/n" I said with a sincere smile.

"What?" She looked at me baffled by my sudden change in mind.

"Yes, I'll help you move back to your apartment. We can discuss more about this tomorrow it's getting late." I started to walk up the stairs.

Why would I do this, she could turn me in. Can I trust her? Did I just make a huge mistake?

"Pourquoi suis-je comme ça ?!" I mumbled annoyingly. (Why am I like this?!)

I was too into my thoughts that I didn't notice the incoming footsteps.

As I was walking down the hallway I felt a tug on my arm. As I turned around she swung her arms around and hugged me.

I was taken aback from the display of affection and looked down with an awkward smile.

"Thank you Alastor " She beamed.

I patted her on the head and pulled her away gently.

"You welcome chère." I softly smiled and we parted ways.

~time skip to next morning~

I carried the cases full of her stuff down the stairs while she packed the others in my car. She seemed very pleased and that made me feel a little bit sad for some reason.

She's not going away alastor, you're going to see her every day at the cafe again.
I reassured myself.

~small time skip~

I opened up my grand, tall gate. Two lamps either side illuminated the morning mist.

We both got in the car and I started to drive away from my house.

The path is very bumpy since I lived a quite far away from the city. She didn't mind it though. As she stared out the window looking at our surroundings I felt a tinge of regret.

"So what's the plan chère? Are you going to go back to work like normal? I also thought of a lie you could tell people so they don't get too suspicious about your disappearance." I said and she turned her head towards me.

"And what's that?" She asked.

"Just say that you had a family emergency. If someone asks for more information just tell them you don't want to talk about it and look sad or angry. That usually works." I shrugged with a enthusiastic smile.

"Okay, sounds great! Also I want to say that I won't turn you in, you're my friend Alastor." She tenderly smiled at me with a genuine tone.

"Thank you dear" I replied.

See your okay Alastor, you can trust her. Everything is going to go back to how it was. No more being on edge and hiding. You can have your house to yourself again. But do I want that? I liked having someone. Will it feel empty without her?

~time skip~

We finally pulled up infront of her apartment building and I helped her move everything inside. When we were done we sat in her small kitchen.
