Alastors pov:

She has been in a coma for over two weeks now...I've barely slept. If I did I would fall asleep on the chair next to her, holding her hand on her chest to feel her heart beating, I was afraid it would stop.

I miss our daily conversations, your smile, your laugh...

"Do you want to hear a joke?" I spoke to her unconscious body, pausing hoping she would reply and nothing, no reply, no murmurs, no tears, no sign that she was here. "I was trying to catch fog the other day...but I mist!"

"...You get it? Mist?"

"Please just laugh and tell me to stop, like you used to...I miss your voice so much." I cupped my hand on the side of her face, sympathetically looking at her expressionless face.

It's like she is frozen.

Knock knock

My head immediately turned to the door and a policeman walked in holding handcuffs with several others behind him all looking serious.

"What's your name again?" He asked, harshly.

"Alastor Hartfelt, why?"

"And you said you lived here for your whole life?" He hummed.

"Why are you asking me these questions?"

"While the hospital was finding y/n's medical records they found yours. You have a horrifying criminal history..." As they spoke my eyes widened in panic and I held y/n's unconscious hand tightly. "...You shouldn't be here."

But they are not supposed to know who I am?! That was the deal?! Everyone forgot about me but my records are still here?! Fuck sake. Fuck you Roo.

"Don't put up a fight, just come along nicely and we won't need to-" The policeman held me against the wall with my hands behind my back, pushing my face.

"No wait!" I interrupted, struggling against their grip.

No I can't leave her.

"Turn off her machine." One called out, nodding.

"No! Why?!" I kicked his shin and rushed over to the machine, blocking them.

"They don't want to waste resources and money keeping an evil woman like that alive, her documents show that she was almost as bad as you. She doesn't deserve to live." He yanked me back and...

Click

Y/n started to gasp with labored breaths and my heart sank at the sight.

"NO! Your wrong! Please!" I fought but they dragged me out of the room.

"Shut up!" The policeman spat. "The only thing keeping you alive is that we can't work out is why we do not know you, it states that you have been admitted to an asylum which burnt down not too long ago."

I need to get back to her...don't put up a fight.

My whole demeanor calmed and I strolled in-front  them with a smile and they held onto my restraints tightly.

"What are you so happy about?"

"Nothing."

"Stop fucking smiling then." He pushed me forward and I stumbled a bit but his grip loosened and I took the chance.

I swiped my foot under his leg and he fell to the floor with a crack of his skull. The other police aimed their guns and I picked up the man's body using him as a human shield. Unfortunately, one bullet seeped through his flesh and pierced my arm.
