(Study: The Compound)

Klaus and Finn were sitting on the couches present in the study however neither were talking. Finn had just told his younger brother to open up and though Klaus had agreed to it he didn't know where to start and what to say.

Klaus wanted to tell his brother everything he has been through along with his regression especially since he had gotten closer to him in this timeline however he didn't think it to be wise to disclose this information and knew that his stress wasn't coming from this topic as well.

"Ahem" came the voice of the eldest brother of the Mikaelsons breaking the silence and causing the hybrid to come out of his thoughts.

Klaus looked at his brother who had an expression he had not seen in the original timeline, it was a kind expression which came from the concern he had for his younger sibling. This caused the ancient hybrid to feel relieved as he let out a small sigh.

"Gonna be honest with you brother, I don't know where to start from." stated Klaus candidly.

"That's alright, you can start from wherever you feel at ease with." replied Finn.

"You almost sound like a therapist." stated Klaus as he let out a chuckle which caused Finn to form a small smile on his face.

"If it helps you open up then I am alright with acting like your personal therapist." stated the original vampire.

"Thank you." stated Klaus. "Well then let me start with the current events, I met Lucien Castle who informed me about the prophecy still being in affect."

"So is that the thing bothering you?" asked Finn.

"No I knew that the prophecy is still going on and hasn't been taken care of." replied Klaus. "What concerns me is something in relation to that."

"And what might that be?"

"You are most certainly aware of my extreme methods and tactics I use to take care of my enemies, correct?" asked Klaus.

"Considering that I have been on the receiving end of those tactics many time I would have to say yes." replied Finn.

"Yes well, back then I didn't think or care about the means and methods I used to get my victory." stated Klaus. "In my mind it was always just me against the world so I never thought about the people around me who cared about me but now...."

"...Now you do have that weighing on your mind." finished Finn.

"Yes." confirmed Klaus. "I know the enemy and what they are capable of but I also know they will go through extremes to put our family in danger which would cause me to also take extreme measures."

"So you are concerned that the family might be in jeopardy due to your future actions?" asked Finn.

"Precisely." answered Klaus. "I know that in the long run all of us would end up together, we always do, but given the current situation I cannot think of a way where the family won't be fractured for a short amount of time."

Klaus paused for a bit to arrange his thoughts which Finn noticed and gave his brother the time to do so.

"The thing that bothers me the most through it all is that I might cause both my daughter and wife future pain especially with not disclosing my plans in its entirety." stated Klaus as he finished explaining his current dilemma.

Finn took in the information provided to him by his younger brother, he knew that Klaus would not open up like this in the past and wanted to give an answer that would truly help him. He was also happy that he truly was considering his family while thinking of his plans now.

"Look Klaus." started Finn. "I know you having many plans for our current enemies which some would classify as diabolical but the family knows that you have their best interest in heart, especially now."

"You probably don't want to keep all your plans as a secret and that is valid especially when it comes to Hayley but the only thing you need to think of is whether at the end of the day the family will survive." continued Finn. "Because you are truly the leader of this family, whether you want to believe it or not."

"But what if by keeping all these secrets related to my plan I end up creating a friction between myself and the rest of the family?" asked the original hybrid with pain in his eyes.

"Well then make it clear to them." replied Finn. "you using your extreme methods was never an issue for the family, it has always been the fact that you would not tell us that you would be going to these extreme lengths and considering how far ahead you can think I also know you could inform everyone of the possible outcomes of your plans."

"What if they don't agree with the outcome?" asked Klaus.

"Then explain to them why that outcome if the only option." replied Finn. "If you do that then they could also provide you with a different option one that you might or might not have considered."

Klaus took in everything that was said by this eldest brother. He was deeply touched by Finn's reply to his concerns and he also felt a weight being lifted off his chest. He let out another long sigh with his eyes closed as his thoughts came into order and opened them feeling relieved.

The original hybrid looked at his brother and gave a small smile. "Thank you brother."

"You are welcome Klaus." replied Finn.

Both brothers were happy with the conversation they had, then Finn looked at his watch and took of the time. He then got up indicating that he is about to leave.

"I apologize brother but I must go somewhere now." stated Finn as he headed to the door.

"And where might that be?" asked Klaus with his eyebrow raised.

"I have violin recital to go to." replied Finn to which Klaus gave a smile as Finn left.

(Outskirts of New Orleans: Future)

Gia stood beside a coffin in a cargo truck which had the body of Finn as she held his hand with tears in her eyes.

"We need to leave now Gia." came the voice of the blonde bartender.

"I know." stated the young vampire as she walked out of the truck and stood next to the blonde.

"I am sorry." spoke Cami. "I really wish you could come with us."

"I know." stated Gia "but this is what Finn would've wanted me to do."

This is the end of another chapter.

I finally wrote this chapter and I am so sorry that it took so long to write it but I was procrastinating about how the interaction between Finn and Klaus would go. I will try my best to not take so long to write chapters.

What do you think will happen next?

Hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
