A Simple Beginning

A Real Blast

Anastasia
Barney has invited a bunch of people to throw a birthday blast for his 18th birthday and Christian is picking up the tab and no alcohol will be served. Of course I am attending the party and there will be some friends invited to the party. Plus a few friends of mine who will need to borrow clothing for the party. I just help them buy the casual clothing they will wear to it. These are teens that are currently living with their foster parents and soon turning 18 years old. Barney knows them too. Lily Johnson and Leila Williams are ready and waiting when the driver picks them up to meet me at the hotel. I thought it would be good to get them out and amongst other teens who have a normal life.

Barney
I invite a number of my nerd friends and there are a few young ladies coming to the party. It's going to be a mister of electronics and dancing. Christian is inviting others and soon we have more than fifty people waiting for the party to start and I am finally happy.

Christian
I invite Mia to bring some of her friends to the party, she really didn't want to but she wants something in return. The security staff have been busy assuring that no alcohol or drugs were being brought inside. They got rid of anything they found and sent the people who brought them home.

Anastasia
Lily and Leila have arrived, but the two guys that stood by them insisted they were invited and I can tell how nervous Lily and Leila were that these guys had forced them to bring them. I called security over and had them searched for anything at all. The guys refused and security asked them to leave in a very firm but polite manner. When that failed they were guided out by more security staff and soon cops were called to arrest them because they assaulted them. It turns out these guys were aware that the party had well to do teens coming so they were bringing illegal substances to sell to the teens. They found that and weapons on them. Lily and Leila were hoping that I would catch on since they didn't invite anyone else to join the party.

Lily Johnson
I was scared that these guys would hurt us if we didn't take them with us, so we had to ride with them in the back of their stupid muscle car. They tell us we better keep our mouths shut about anything we know. I know they have hurt someone very badly already.

Leila Williams
I would have kicked their asses but they have guns and drug connections that are far worse than they are. These guys are so stupid to think they will soon be rich. They haven't stopped to think about the money it will take to keep them out of jail. Not to mention someone is always looking to take their places or the higher ups might just get rid of them. They dress the part usually but today they are dressed in preppy nerd clothes that makes them more obvious. I was glad security came to our rescue.

Ryan Reynolds
When I saw those thugs and the frightened girls come in and try to get past Anastasia I called in for back up. I then called the police to be ready, Anastasia told us that her friends were coming to the party and they are good people. I spotted the thugs and how shaky the young ladies with them were and knew they were trouble disguised as nerds. As I got closer the marijuana got stronger. There was no doubt these guys were here to sell illegal substances. We asked them to leave and they refused to leave so we finally guided them out with ten security guards and into the arms of four cops who arrested and then searched them. They had drugs of all kinds and cocaine some new stuff that I had no idea what it was. They had concealed weapons and ready to use. So they will be behind bars for a while.

Barney
Anastasia introduces me to her new friends and we have dinner and cut my cake after they sing happy birthday to me. Mia has finally made it to the party and brought several of her best buddies. Mia got me exactly what I wanted, which makes me think that her brother had a hand in it. She likes to talk about herself so I just listen because I really like her. Anastasia knows how much I like Mia. Christian might kill me if he thought I was romantically interested in Mia. She actually asked for my phone number so I handed her my business card, Anastasia tells me that Mia wants my private number not my business phone numbers. I blush and Mia hands it back and says please give me your private number. I smile and slice a piece of birthday pie for her. She eats it and starts talking about her love of cooking and wants to become a chef. I think I could easily help make that dream of hers come true. We start talking about her plan to make her dream come true?

Mia
I really couldn't believe how good looking Barney the head of IT for Christian's GEH is. We have talked but never met each other. I have talked to Anastasia but never seen her either. It's like they disappear from the world and only come out on special occasions. Kate and Melissa  are talking to Lily and Leila about the latest fashions. Both have no idea what they are talking about. Even Anastasia has no clue, I look at their clothing and I can tell they don't wear designer anything. My friends and I are wearing all high end clothing. I start talking about what mom and dad and Anastasia gets a look on her face when I tell her mom was a doctor and where she works. She tells me how lucky I am to have my mom as a mother. She doesn't go into how she knows mom and I decide not to press the issue. I know very little about her but I do know Barney hired her after he was hired at 14 years old by my brother. She is like very close friends with Barney and they are just friends. She did make sure that Barney understood that I was interested in him going out on a date. That says it all.
