the portal master arrives at the academy just as the skylanders and the others finished breakfast.
portal master: morning guys.
Spyro: morning portal master sir.
Portal master: So guys, later we're going to do some reconnaissance of what we're dealing with.
Ryder and his pups: can we go too?
Portal master "sigh" fine, but stay close. We're heading out in an hour.
The 60 mins went by fast from the Skylanders all training with buzz or working on their weapons. Then they meet back in the command room.
portal master: alright, Skylanders move out.
They all head for the portal and are back in adventure bay.
They approach the huge wall surrounding the place.
rocky: how do get by this?
Portal master: wash buckler? spy rise?
Both: on it.
The two SWAP force Skylanders get up and over the wall. It took awhile for them to open the gate.
spy rise: sorry that took so long.
Portal master: it's fine.
once they're inside...
Skye: so, now what?
Chase: I say we go straight to knocking on Kaos's front door.
Portal master: no Chase. No knocking. Well, at least not yet. Remember guys, this is strictly a recon mission only. We stick to the shadows and the rooftops. Our ally is stealth. Fight only if your cover's blown. Understood?
All Skylanders: yes portal master.
Portal master: good, Ryder and the pups are with me. We spit in groups and see what kind of surprises and other defenses Kaos have planned for us so we know what to expect. If you end up with more than you can shoot, call the others. Now, move out.
They all split up.
The portal master, Ryder and the pups walk down a street until Zuma sees something.
Zuma: um, dudes? look.
They all turn to where he's looking.
It's Katie's pet parlor.
Only it looks scary and abandoned.
Rocky (scared): this is scary.
As they continue onward...
max: guys, get down.
He knocks them behind some garbage cans.
Skye: what was that for?
Portal master: look.
They glimpse out from their hiding spot and see two trolls not too far away from them.
rubble: thanks.
Portal master: we should head back and... wait.
Ryder: what?
Portal master: Where's Chase?
Ryder and the pups look around and see that Chase is not with them.
Marshall (worried): where is he?
Chase: I'm over here.
They look across the street and see chase in an alleyway.
