They arrive back in Skylands.
Ryder walks in.
His eyes are red, saying he's been crying.
And his pups are not with him.
The others can tell something is wrong.
Everest: where are Chase and the others?
Funnybone: your "friend" here forgot them...
Treadhead: and now Kaos has them.
Kids and pups: WHAT?!
Carlos (in his head): no way, my best friend would never.
Jake (in his head): Come on, Ryder dude wouldn't.
To keep it short: the others are thinking the same thing.
Katie: How can you say that!?
Ryder: no no, it's true. I did.
That caught the others off-guard.
Ryder: I did forget them.
Portal master: and we have to...
(zap)
He's blasted from behind.
Everyone turns.
A purple greeble with a staff appears.
Free ranger: a crystal master. Get him.
But then the greeble disappears in a flash of purple light.
Portal master: let's head to the main room.
They head in.
Sprocket pushes a button.
"Portal master, we're getting a call.
From kaos himself"
Portal master: hmmm. Put it though on the main screen. I want to hear that.
Kaos appears on the screen on his throne in the lookout.
Glumshanks is holding a camera.
Kaos (onscreen): what is the matter with you? Hold still, Glumshanks.
Glumshanks (offscreen): sorry, lord kaos.
Kaos: Is the camera even on?
Glumshanks: ummm, yes.
Kaos: good. "clears throat" greeting, sky-losers. I'm sure wondering why I'm calling?
Spyro: yes.
Kaos: ok, we'll just get to the point. show them, Glumshanks.
The troll turns away from kaos,
Now the view shows the pups in cages.
Ryder: PUPS!!
Kaos steps into view.
Chase (onscreen): Let us out of here!
Kaos: As you can see, I have your friends.
Hotdog: What are you even going to do with them?
Kaos: oh, you wish to learn their fate? Very well.
Kaos gives his evil smile.
He walks back to his chair.
"For those of you who remember my plan back in the cloudbreak islands,
you may recall this"
He holds out a purple glowing crystal.
Katie: What is that?
Pop thorn: petrified darkness.
