Later that evening
Ryder, Katie and others were talking about the beast pup.
Then they find the portal master, bat spin, free ranger and blastermind playing a board game.
ryder: what are you guys playing?
Bat spin: it's called "snakes and sewers".
(I'm basing it off "Dungeons & Dragons")
The kids sit at the table.
max: and for the depths of the cave appears... an abominable yeti.
Spyro: oh not good, told you guys we should have gone with the other path.
Blaster mind: that's what we get for accepting a map from a frost giant.
Free ranger: I'm not picking a fight with a yeti. I'm getting back in the boat.
Portal master: ow, unfortunately you turn to see the boat has sunk into the icy waters. Escape is no longer an option.
Katie: How can you be playing games with the beast pup still running around?
max: keep your heads on you guys.
Spyro: Yeah, it's just a short break.
Free ranger: we'll catch up with them soon enough.
Row: "sigh" let's just leave them to their game.
They walk away.
Portal master: Now, where were we with that yeti?
Bat spin: a little too close, I'd say.
The others laugh.
portal master: good one bat spin.
With the others
The image of a dragon attacking them was still fresh in their minds.
The fire breathing image caused them to have trouble falling asleep.
Timeskip: 6:00 pm the next day
Despite their scaredness, the kids and pups know that they would need the portal master's help with finding the beast pup and in order saving their home.
Ryder (nervous): ok, i know we're scared. But without him...
Katie (nervous): We can not save Adventure bay.
The pups wanted to stay behind, as they could not muster the courage to join their owners.
Rubble (nervous): Can we stay here?
Zuma: Yeah, we just can't do it.
Row: ok. We'll talk with him.
Their owners walk away.
chase: so, now what?
With the kids
they were talking with the teen and some of his team in the command room.
portal master: ok ok i admit, I overdid it.
Taylor: Yes, but we still need your help.
Roller brawl: yes we'll help.
Katie: But we still haven't done anything yet.
Jake: What are we...
"loud scream in distance"
Everyone looks in shock at a nearby door.
The portal master turns back to his friends.
Portal master (concerned): did you kids hear what i hear?
