Ch 34. The pup's out of the bag

All: WHAT!?

Ryder, Katie, Carlos and the others just couldn't believe it.

Spyro: drobot, are you sure that's correct? With the power outages?

Drobot: I ran it through twice.

Portal master: and there's only one of those around here.

All eyes turn to Skye.

The pup knew her cover was blown.

Skye looks as if she's on the edge of having a breakdown.

With tear-filled eyes, she lowers her head and gives a sigh.

Skye: Ok fine, I confess. It was me. I'm the beast pup.

Ryder approaches her.

His face bears a heart-broken look.

The pups eyes fill with tears.

Ryder: Sk-kye? How can you...

She knows that all she can do now:

Is to come out clear.

Skye: it was not on purpose.

Portal master: then what happened?

Raising her head, she explained her story.

Skye: "sigh" It was after our little "recon" mission.

I was exploring the place,

Then I found myself in pop fizz's lab.

I accidentally bumped into a table or something.

One of the portions fell off and onto me.

I then got a tingly feeling.

I looked around and I saw the broken beaker.

I hid the pieces under the rug.

I then ran off.

Chase: Why didn't you tell us?

Skye: I was scared you guys would kick me out.

Ryder: Even if you did tell us, we wouldn't do that.

He tries to pick her up.

Skye suddenly backs away.

She drops to the ground and groans in pain.

Then it looks as if her legs are growing.

Katie: Skye?

The pup puts her paws on her head.

The fur on her shaggy ears, her tail and the fluff on her head looks as if it's getting thicker.

Tuck: Skye, what's wrong?

Skye: oh no, not now.

She rolls around.

Her fur starts going from her normal cream and golden brown color to dark purple.

Ryder tries to comfort her.

Skye: no, don't come near me. OOOWWWW!!

She tries to stand up.

Her magenta-colored eyes start turning blood red..

Rocky: Skye, please let us help you.

Skye: I can't... control... it much... longer.

Marshall: Skye, please.

Skye then stops rolling around.

But when she stands back,

She is now half the height of her owner.

Ryder (scared): s-sk-kk-ye?

The pup gives an intimidating growl.

Ryder and the others slowly back up.

Skye then reveal sharp claws in her paws,

Then she tries to jump on the boy.

Ryder: NONONO AAAHHHHH!!!

But then, Ryder felt a gust of wind blow on him.

He saw that the portal master had a mini-tornado in the palm of his hand.

Rex: Skye, please...

Skye then runs at him.

He ducks and Skye misses him.

Katie: Skye stop.

She swipes at the girl.

Skye misses, but rips part of Katie's clothes.

Katie: aww, my clothes are ruined.

Feeling tired of this game, the beast pup runs off.

Ryder: Skye! Why?!
