Deacon
What was I thinking? What the HELL was I thinking? She's Logan's kid sister, she's ten years younger than me. But damnit, I want her, my dick wants her and I just couldn't stop myself. I don't know where it was a good thing or a bad thing that Logan came in when he did.
Only, I know for sure I would not have been able to stop myself. The way she smelt, her lips so close to mine, I could smell the peachy lip gloss or was it strawberries, maybe a mix of both. Her fragrance. I could see the stark arousal in those blue eyes of her. My dick was aching in my pants, to have her and be inside her wet pussy. I bet she was as slick as anything.
"You okay?" Logan asks as he takes a seat on my back porch. I hand him the beer.
"Yeah, miles away."
"Sure was a nice thing you did there for Daisy. She gets by with her seamstress business and is going into design, but she doesn't make a lot of money. Enough for a decent living but not for a horse."
I shrug my shoulders. "It was the least I could do. She's always helping out with my horses since I have had them. That girl loves them and they love her. She's my best friend too, well except you. We've grown up together. Daisy is like my kid sister." Who the hell am I trying to kid. My kid sister. I am such a liar since every fiber of my body is not thinking of Daisy being anything like a sister. No Siree. More like a woman, with her pert tits, her high ass and her glory between her legs.
If Logan knew what kind of dirty thoughts were and have gone through my mind about Daisy, he'd probably kick my ass all the way to China and back. I take a long drink of my beer. It feels cold and refreshing as it slides down my throat.
"So, you ready for the big day, Bro?" I ask him. His long legs are stretched out in front of him. He nods.
"You bet I am. I've waited a long time to get a ring on Sage's finger. Ten long years. I never thought I would see the day if I am honest. When she upped and left me all those years ago, the way my heart broke, it was the saddest day of my life. Then seeing her around town on her short visits back and with that dick, whatever his name was. I mean, they were never suited."
"Turned out to be a jerk if you ask me. Who would leave Sage and go to London for a fellowship? He could have done that here, right?"
"Rumour has it that he is back, didn't work out for him. One of Sage's friends mentioned it. Maybe he was homesick or something."
"Or maybe he thinks he can have Sage back." Logan shoots me a look, his eyebrows raise to his hairline.
"I'd like to fucking see him try. Over my dead body. Sage is mine now and in just a few weeks, she will be wearing my wedding ring. No man is taking her away from me again."
"Glad to hear it, Logan. You are right, you have waited a long time for this. I'm looking forward to the wedding, everyone is. It'll be one hell of a do."
We sit in silence for a while looking out to the darkness with the stars above us and the moon shining brightly. It's a beautiful night, crisp fall air surrounds us, I can hear the nightlife amongst the trees. "So, you going to ask my sister on a date anytime soon? Only, it's no secret."
I take another long drink of my beer before answering him. "Honestly, I don't think she'd be interested."
"Are you kidding me? You see the way she looks at you, always has done and hanging off your every word."
"There is a ten year age gap, what does Daisy want with an old man like me?"
"Hey, less of the old man. We're the same age, and there is nothing old about me."
"If you say but being around Daisy makes me feel old. She's young and vibrant and so full of energy. I think maybe it's an infatuation with her, nothing more. The moment she saw me in the morning she'd run a mile. When I am fifty and much older, she will still only be young forties. That matters to me."
He shuffles his feet, then crosses one leg over the other, his right knee at a right angle on top of his left leg. I mirror him. It's comfortable.
"You worry too much, Deac. Trust me, that isn't just infatuation. I reckon she loves you."
"Pretty strong word that, Love. You know it conjures up all sorts of images, wedding bands, babies, back yards with toys in it, you know all that stuff. What if I am not that kind of man."
"You are that kind of man. Besides, when Sage and I have our children you are going to be a Godfather."
"Seriously, me?"
"Yes you. Why ever not? You're my best friend, Deacon. I couldn't imagine asking anyone else."
"Thanks, Man. That means a lot to me. Is she pregnant?"
"Who Sage? No way, I'm just saying. We've already discussed it and we decided we want you."
"I don't know what to say. That's huge."
We sit in silence again, me thinking about Daisy and whether or not we could make it work with the age gap, but she is so young to me. The way she talks, the music she likes, we're a million miles apart. For God's sake she is a Taylor Swift fan, I am not. She likes pink and bubblegum stuff, a true Barbie girl. I am more a Bruce Willis, Mark Wahlberg kind of man. Although they do say opposites attract.
But being nearly forty and Daisy not even thirty, it still leaves a weird kind of feeling in my gut.
"Have you got your best man speech ready? It better not be filthy or embarrass me." Logan says as he chuckles.
"It's ready don't worry, as for embarrassing you, I wouldn't be telling any truths that no-one already knows about."
He humpfs. "Well, it's been nice having a cold one with you, Deacon. You meeting us all for breakfast tomorrow, last run down before the fundraiser. Those little kids are going to love it. I know I'm excited about it."
"Sure am. Will be at Bluebell's nice and early. Although I am looking forward to it, I don't relish being dunked again like last year. I was soaked through and cold. Hopefully, we'll have more sunshine this year."
"The forecast is good, you'll be fine. If not, you can always get my sister to warm you up."
"Logan, don't even go there."
"Just saying, Bro. I kind of like the idea of you being my brother-in-law. I think it'd be pretty neat."
"Yeah, maybe. But you're running away with yourself. I have a lot to think about. There's definitely an attraction there, but seriously I still think I am way too old for a young, free spirited woman like Daisy. I hear she wants to go to Paris and to Milan for some of her fashion design courses. We'd be apart before we even start and what if she meets some young Italian. I can't tie her down before she's even lived her life. Daisy has never stepped out of Willowbrook, well not on a flight that's for sure and especially not to Europe. It's a big world out there, Logan. I can't clip her wings before she has had a chance to fly."
"That's honorable but still think you should get in there first. Besides, you can travel with her. That's what planes are for, they seat more than one person." He chuckles.
I finish my beer and stand to go see him out. "Stay seated, I can see myself round to the front. Enjoy the rest of your evening and give some thought to asking my sister out on a proper date instead of trying to sex her in the stable next time."
Jeez, I want the ground to open up and to fall right on it.
