Deacon

"Will you stop pacing up and down. You are going to wear this old rug out. It's already worn out." Logan is grinning from ear to ear as he stands in the cabin he and Sage have rented for the pre-wedding event, with a large, steaming mug of coffee in his hand. "You want some whiskey in that coffee you are there nursing?"

"No, damnit. Leave me alone."

"Don't be so tetchy." He grumbles.

"Guys what's going on?" Sage appears looking amazing in a wrap around dress the color of russet leaves, it looks like a velvet fabric and a moss green cardigan. I hardly see her in anything else other than jeans, but she looks good.

"Nothing, he is badgering me."

"Why?" She asks her eyes wide glaring at Logan.

"Because he won't sit down and relax. I bet it's because Daisy is on her way." He chuckles. I could throw a cushion or something at him only it'd knock that coffee out of his hand and Sage would end up clearing it up.

"Just pack it in Logan and behave. Honestly, can't you act your age for a second?"

"Nope, not when I know Deacon is in a dither about Daisy. I swear it's kept me amused for nearly fifteen years."

"I have not had the hots for your sister since she was ten, you damn pervert you."

"Okay, ten years then. I know you started liking her when she went through her change at school, I mean you couldn't take your eyes off her. One minute she was Daisy with the braces and braids, then she was Daisy with straight, sleek hair, no braces and that crazy smile of hers." He is right, Daisy does have a crazy ass smile, her face radiates, she is like an angel and those blue eyes of her sparkle like sapphires.

"Just stop, okay. I am not nervous."

"Go do something useful, Logan please, like chop some wood." Sage tells him and nudges him to the front door of the cabin.

"Why can't Deacon do it?"

"What are you twelve now?" She stands in front of him with her hands on her hips. Yeah, these two are made for each other. I am kinda jealous if I'm honest, they have this amazing relationship, found each other again after so long and you can just tell they will make it until one leaves the other to go over the rainbow. It's a perfect match.

I chuckle. "And you," Sage glares at me now, "can go take your bag upstairs into the bedroom second on the left up the stairs."

"Don't forget Ryle is coming now too. Do we have enough room?" Logan asks her wiggling his eyebrows and trying to put his arm around her. She pushes him off gently. "I hadn't thought of that. To be honest, I booked only for Eliza, Sadie, us, Deacon and Daisy." She pauses as she looks at her fingers she is counting on.

"Shit."

"What's up?" I ask seeing her concern and the way she is biting her lower lip.

"Fuck. We need five rooms without Ryle and we have four masters. How could I get it wrong? Shit. This isn't good."

"Lottie can share with Daisy, right?"

"Oh. My. God. This is a nightmare. Lottie and Daisy could share then what about Eliza or Sadie and now what about Ryle? This is a cluster fuck up. How could I do something so stupid."

"Hey, calm down." Logan puts his arm around her. "It'll be fine. We can sort it out when everyone arrives."

"Yeah, but how could I even forget about Lottie too?" She hangs her head down. Logan lifts her chin and places a kiss on her lips.
