Chapter 2

ETHICS CLASS

Felix screamed at the top of his lungs when Changbin pinched him. The teacher looked up as the the students whispered and giggled. Changbin flinched "I was just trying to-" he stopped mid-sentence and paled as he saw Minho glaring at him. Felix looked back guiltily as Changbin whisper yelled "FELIX!" Right as the yeacher yelled his name as well. Felix stood up as the teacher said sternly "What's going on?"

Felix gulped and said "I got a paper cut..." The class burst out in laughter and Felix held back a smile. He loved making people smile and laugh.

ENGLISH CLASS

Hyunjin was reading his novel just like the rest of the class. Today was a peaceful day. Hyunjin sighed. Bang Chan had been listening to music while reading and constantly rocking to music. Which made his whole desk move as well. Hyunjin tried to ignore it. But then a fly came and sat on his book. He tried to swat it away but it kept coming back.

Seungmin suddenly asked the teacher something, startling Hyunjin. Seungmin was the least likely to say something but he disrupted the silence.

It was okay, Hyunjin could deal with a rocking desk, an annoying stalker fly, and loud sudden noises.

Hyunjin tried to concentrate on his book, but the fly wouldn't leave him alone. He swatted at the fly again and his bag fell to the floor. The zipper was open so some of his stuff scattered on the floor, including his lunch.

Ms. Mori said sweetly "Feeling clumsy today Hyunjin?" Hyunjin was about to answer when the fly buzzed in his ear making him shriek and fall off the chair, knocking into someone. The other kid knocked over his books and belongings. An ink pot spilled over the girl in front of the kid and she screamed jerking forward. Suddenly, the whole class excluding Bang Chan, Seungmin, and Hyunjin were in tragedy. After Ms. Mori managed to calm the chaos, she sighed. "Everyone go back to readiiiiiing!" She choked as the fly that had been bothering Hyunjin flew into her mouth.

ETHICS CLASS

Changbin was writing an apology letter to Lee Know and Felix. Lee Know's glare was spooky enough that he wrote an extra letter for back-up.

Felix snickered as he read the letter and added it to his scrapbook. Felix found it heartwarming. Before they could do anything else, the fire alarm rang. Their teacher told them to move out quickly, even though the students hadn't even gotten up yet. Except for Lee Know, who was already in the process of dragging Felix, Han, IN, and Binnie out of the classroom. Lee Know always tried to be responsible. After what happened to Hyunjin and his younger brother, Lee Know didn't want to lose his younger brother too. Felix was much more precious than that.

Flashback- One Year Ago

Lee Know laughed watching his best friend cuddle up to his younger brother. Hyunjin loved Han with all his being, they were the best of brothers.

What was interesting was that Lee Know and Hyunjin were best friends, and Felix and Han were too. Felix and Han were always like sunshine. They always made everyone smile.

Hyunjin leaned on Han from behind him and swung his arms over Han's shoulders. For someone who doesn't like skin-ship, Hyunjin really loved to hug Han.

Hyunjin said "Oh and, I bought you some of the stuff you wanted. I saved up money." Han smiled and pulled away jumping a little with excitement. "You always know how to make my day!"

"Brothah!" Felix exclaimed dramatically and Lee Know blinked. He didn't realise they were already outside now. IN and Binnie were touching the grass and looking at a lady bug walking through.

Felix asked "Are you here? Wait wait wait, are you dead? Do I need to plan the funeral?" Lee Know shook his head to say something; but Han gasped and said "Who's funeral? What funeral? A 'funeral' funeral?" Felix laughed and said "I don't even remember what I was talking about anymore."

Lee Know sighed, he missed having a close friend, a best friend.

Flashback start

He missed all those times Hyunjin and him would sit together in class solving problems, or visit over Lee Know's place. He missed spending time with Hyunjin everyday. He missed his voice. And most importantly, he missed Hyunjin's smile.

It had been a year since the incident, but Lee Know kept an eye on Hyunjin. Hyunjin never talked anymore, never smiled, and never danced anymore either.

Lee Know wanted to talk to Hyunjin so bad, he wanted to see Hyunjin smile again and safe. But it was Lee Know's fault that Hyunjin was afraid of him.

Hyunjin and Han's parents were manipulative and abusive. The overpampered Han and ignored Hyunjin. And it was all because both of their parents were alcoholics who saw benefit if one son supported the dad, and the other the mom. The difference between the treatment was simply to make the two brothers drift apart.

Lee Know knew that. He warned Hyunjin about it too, but there wasn't anything Hyunjin can do. Hyunjin talked to Han about it, but they loved each other a lot, so obviously nothing would go wrong.

Their mom loved pampering Han and ignoring Hyunjin. So when the day would almost come to an end and their dad returned from work, Hyunjin got some attention from his dad. It wasn't enough, but enough to control the kids...

Flashback over

Lee Know fell to the ground as someone bumped into him, twice today. Lee Know grit his teeth and turned around to see who it was only to be met with, Bang Chan.

Bang Chan stared at Lee Know on the ground with his eyes wide. Lee Know and Bang Chan had never really talked a lot but Lee know knew Bang Chan was a nice person. That was why Lee Know had asked Bang Chan to keep an eye out for Hyunjin... In exchange for Minho's music collection of course.

Bang Chan snapped out of his shock and helped Minho to his feet. Han ran to Lee Know and exclaimed "Lee Know! Felix said he'd be making a gift, we have to stay here." Lee Know silently nodded.

Meanwhile, Felix was making friendship day cards. The biggest and shinniest, yes shinniest, one was for Han. There was one ech for IN and Binnie as well. But that wasn't the reason Felix wanted to hide the cards from both Lee Know and Han. It was because he was hiding one for Hyunjin as well.

Flashback

Felix was fine. He was ok as long as his family and friends were ok. But he wasn't fine. Because no one was ok. Hyunjin and Han's mother died. She was drinking while driving so it made sense. Right after the funeral, Hyunjin and Han had a massive argument. Han had come to stay with Felix instead. Hyunjin tried calling and contacting multiple times, but Han was stubborn and hurt.

Han was in the basement of their house, crying alone. Felix frowned, he wanted to be able to help more.

Flashback over

Felix breathed. The cards were ready. He hid them back in his secret spot under a bench. Not exactly safe, but safe enough. Felix turned around and called Han, who was lost in his thoughts. Han closed his eyes. Probably having a.......

Flashback

Hyunjinnie and Han went to their room after the funeral. Hyunjin looked so numb. Han brought a slightly wet towel to sab some sweat off of Hyunjin. Only to find bruises littered over Hyunjin's face under pretty make-up. Han paled and Jinnie snapped out of his thoughts flinching away. He didn't want Han to see this , not on the day of the funeral.

Han felt hurt. Because he knew who did this. It was their dad. Han felt hurt. Because Hyunjin didn't tell him. Did he not trust and love Han enough? Han felt hurt. Because Hyunjin didn't accept that it was bad. Hyunjin saw it as... love?

Han left, because his brother kept getting hurt and wouldn't listen. Hyunjin was attention craved, so if his father wasn't nice, that attention was enough for him. But why Lee Know left Hyunjin, was still a mystery to Han. Han had hoped Hyunjin would understand after a while. Maybe leave home and live with both their best friends. But Hyunjin didn't even try contacting Han.
