Chapter 37

Lee know stood up saying, "As promised." and walked away.

Next day,

Hyunjin was at Lee Know's place, sitting with Felix in the living room. Both of them were cuddling on the couch, Hyunjin holding Felix close to him and Felix sleepily hid his face in the crook of Hyunjin's neck.

Han walked in looking nervous. He saw Felix half asleep and hesitated. Hyunjin's eye brows scrunched, "What's up Han?"

Han shuffled a bit and said, "The police searched Min Joon's home... to find out why he was trying to ki- why he tampered with the elevator."

Hyunjin nodded, his expression becoming serious and Felix looked at Han too, rubbing his eyes to wake up.

Han took a deep breath and said, "Min Joon was stalking you... his whole house was... basically filled with pictures and notes about you..."

Hyunjin tensed up while Felix scowled. Han said, "They took him away so its safe now... but... he had pictures of you... with dad."

Hyunjin's breath caught, Han was talking to slow to calm his nerves. Felix noticed how Hyunjin's breathing changed and stroked his back soothingly. Hyunjin relaxed a little.

Han said, "They might... arrest dad... Min Joon had a video of him hurting you..." Hyunjin's shoulders sagged, why was Han so nervous to talk about this, wasn't it a good news.

Hyunjin felt like throwing up when he realised he called his father getting arrested because of him a good news.

Han said, "Everyone knows... It spread through the media pretty fast."

Hyunjin's eyes widened. Felix froze. Lee Know came in looking frustrated, he turned on the TV. It was all over the news.

Hyunjin's eyes teared up, and he hid his face behind Felix. He felt even more scared and vulnerable. Now everyone knew, who knew what school bullies might target him. Not to mention the constant pitiful looks. The humiliation of everyone knowing.

Hyunjin let out a sob, Lee Know sat beside him. All three of them sat there, with Hyunjin and let him cry. Hyunjin clutched onto Felix tightly, feeling like Felix was the only thing keeping him sane.

Hyunjin was going to be under a microscope with the media, and even more in school. Hyunjin started hyperventilating and quickly got up, stumbling back as he pushed Lee Know away. Hyunjin fell on the ground, bringing his knees to his chest, trying to hide his face in the floor and sobbed while trying to breathe.

All sound around him blurred, and so did his vision. He felt like he was underwater, unable to breathe, unable to hear or see.

Hyunjin felt someone carding their fingers through his hair. He tried to focus on the feeling. He opened his eyes  slightly, not realising when he closed them. He saw Felix's face, filled with worry, but no pity in his eyes. Hyunjin's eyes watered again, blurring out his vision.

Hyunjin whispered, "Help me." and his vision went black.

Felix panicked when Hyunjin passed out and brought him to his chest, cradling Hyunjin and rocking back and forth. Lee Know went and brought a glass of water and a wet cloth, not sure if that would even work.

Lee Know had always had panic attacks, but he had never known how to help someone who had one.

Han was crying silently, just tears streaming down his cheeks. It hurt to see his brother like this. Han would stay out of trouble because he wasn't associated with the Hwang family anymore.

Lee Know stood up, "I know what we can do to take the media's attention off of him, it might pressure Hyunjin more at school, but at least the press would stay away from him."

Han looked at Lee Know questioningly, "And what is that." Lee Know knelt down and wiped away Han's tears, holding his face gently in his hands.

Lee Know said, "I have some evidence about his father business... He's been money laundering and selling art illegally."

Han gasped, "How do you have proof of that? My dad's an art dealer for what everyone knows."

Lee Know gulped, "When we used to hang out at his place, me and Hyunjin would sneak into your dad's office and look through financial statements and stuff. I've always been a math geek and I realised something was wrong... I still have those statements."

Felix froze, "You stole someone's financial statements?!"

Han said, "Not the point Felix!"

Felix nodded wearily.

They talked and discussed about it till midnight. Hyunjin had joined the conversation too, but insisted on cuddling Felix the whole time. Hyunjin's dad was currently arrested for multiple charges, so Hyunjin could stay overnight.

Mrs Lee walked in and shouted, "Its midnight already, did you all finish your homework?!"

Everyone startled and sat up. Lee Know apologised and explained the situation. It would be an understatement that Mrs Lee was mad about her kids keeping so many secrets from her.

But everything would be ok. Once the evidence is out, Hyunjin would be free. And he had Lee Know to protect him in school. 

Everything fit into place, as if a song played and all they had to do was listen. Hyunjin was old enough to live wherever he like, his eighteenth birthday close.

Hyunjin felt his bruises disappear, and wounds close. Only scars left. Scars that no longer hurt, because he had Felix, and that angel could heal anything.

Lee Know sat near his window, lost in his thoughts. Last year had been a mess, and everything was ok now. But something didn't fit right. Maybe he was just being paranoid, but everything ended so easily. He had expected Hyunjin and Han's father to do more than just give in to the police. Maybe some problems just need the easy solution.

Lee Know sighed loudly, causing Hyunjin to look up from the book he was reading. Hyunjin asked, "Where are you lost?" Lee Know smiled, "Nothing, but my boyfriend went to pick up Felix an hour ago, they sure take their time."

Hyunjin huffed, "I still don't like you started dating my younger brother."

Lee Know smirked, "You want me to say something about you dating my younger brother."

Hyunjin frowned, "Bitch."

Lee Know chuckled, "Jerk."

Lee Know flopped next to Hyunjin, trying to read the graphic novel Hyunjin was so invested in. Hyunjin closed his book and said, "I don't like distractions while reading." Lee Know raised a brow, "You let Felix do anything while you read."

"He isn't a distraction, in that case my books are a distraction." Hyunjin corrected proudly.

Lee Know smiled. Everything was ok.
