Chapter 18

Lee Know and Han pulled away from their kiss to catch their breath, but not going too far. Han could feel Lee Know's hot breath against his lips as Lee Know said, "You taste nice."

Han felt his face go red as he whispered, "Shh." Lee Know smiled softly, tucking away a stray strand of hair behind Han's ear and said, "When you get better, go out with me?"

Han smiled. Lee Know continued, "I really like you Jisung. You've always been here for me and you are so... magical. The way you talk, laugh, or just think in general... It makes you seem so... You are so perfect and beautiful," Lee Know smirked, "I want you to be mine."

Han smiled wider, "I would love to go out with you Hyung." Lee Know chuckled at being called Hyung for the first time by Han.

Next day at school,

Hyunjin was at his normal spot, his locker. With pne arm at the top to avoid hitting his head, and the other in front of him. Hyunjin's gaze was fixed on the two rings Felix gave him. "Why'd he give me two?" Hyunjin thought to himself.

Hyunjin was both excited and nervous to see Felix; maybe that's why he'd been idly standing next to his locker, leaning in as much as possible, for twenty minutes. Yes he arrived early, but only because his father needed to go on a business trip and kicked Hyunjin out for the time being...

Hyunjin spun the rings on his left hand with his thumb, very aware that his right hand was busy. Hyunjin chuckled, he could feel the top of the locker about to hit his head, and yet he didn't move. He wasn't waiting for anyone to help him, save him, or pull him away from the danger. Nope. He was just holding on, and denying the fact he was in trouble. He was being paranoid anyways...

Hyunjin heard the familiar sound of footsteps. It was weird how he could tell without even looking that it was Felix. Hyunjin turned around, closing his locker, and saw Felix. Felix had a bag slung over his right shoulder, his back to Hyunjin as he rummaged through his own locker.

Hyunjin smiled, walking up behind him. He whispered "Boo!" near Felix's ear who startled with a yelp. Felix turned around with a hand on his chest and a smile and said, "Hyunjin-ah! Don't do that!"

Hyunjin chuckled and said, "Usually when I get startled near my locker my head hits the top, good thing you are... Uh... Not as tall as me."

Felix blinked and stifled his laugh at Hyunjin's poor attempt to not sound offending. Felix said, "Did you need something Hyunjin-ah?" Hyunjin frowned a little, "Again, when will you start calling me Hyung? I'm older than you!"

"Sorry uncle." Felix said turning around and biting his bottom lip trying not to laugh, as he locked his locker.

Hyunjin blinked. "Nevermind, I am fine with what you already call me." Felix burst out in laughter and Hyunjin smiled. He liked seeing Felix laugh.

Hyunjin was about to say something until the bell rang. Felix swore, he was going to get late for class.

Before Felix could run away, Hyunjin grabbed his wrist hurriedly, "WAIT!" Felix turned around, "What Hyunjin?" Hyunjin said, "Can we meet after school, I want to talk." Felix frowned and said, "We'll see, I feel like I am forgetting about something."

Meanwhile,

Chaos. Complete chaos. Seungmin, IN, Changbin, and Bang Chan had another sleepover. The couple against the two best friends played video games all night, falling asleep around the living room at five in the morning.

Yeah, they had to get up at six...

Changbin's mom was hurrying the four to dress up. "Minnie, Chan, sweeties, you two can be lovey-dovey at school or after school, now eat your breakfast!" She said sternly as they couldn't stop staring at each other. Jeongin snickered and Binnie elbowed him in his ribs.

They were all definitely missing first class.

After a couple of minutes, Changbin's mother was pushing them all outside and telling them to hurry.

As the four sped walked on the footpath, Seungmin said, "Finally, the sun is out!" Chan chuckled and said, "Baby it's almost summer, of course it's out."

IN shouted, "Get a room please." Changbin hit his on the head immediately looking guilty and said, "Jeongin, we have to get to school first. Let them be love doves." IN chuckled as he saw Seungmin blush for the first time. It was a warm pleasant day, they could even hear birds chirping all around.

As they skipped their way to school, definitely late, Chan noticed something from the corner of his eye. Chan turned around to see two black cars slowly following them. As soon he saw this, he turned around and whispered to Seungmin, "Those cats are following us." Seungmin tensed up and said loudly, "IN, I bet Changbin can run faster than you."

Chan looked surprised as they started bickering and eventually, IN and Changbin were racing to school to see who was faster. Seungmin and Chan ran behind the younger two as well, making sure the cars were put of sight. Seungmin sighed in relief as they reached school safely and the cars were gone.

Chan frowned, "Was I being paranoid?" Seungmin's face softned, "Nah, you are just naturally protective old man. Now come on, we're already late!"

Seungmin ran to his next class as Chan followed. Chan felt a restlessness in his chest after the incident. A restlessness that was bothering him more than he wanted to accept.

At lunch,

Chan frowned as he stepped into the linch hall with Seungmin. His chest felt tight since morning. IN, Changbin, Felix, and Lee Know were already at their table. Seungmin joined them. Chan stood there as he looked around the hall, spotting Hyunjin in a corner who was typing in his phone. The hall was noisy as always. Student were talking, laughing and shouting. Utensils were making their own music. Chan breathed.

"Channie?" Seungmin asled, his eyes filled with concern. Chan smiled and said, "Yeah?" Seungmin said, "Are you ok?" Chan startled as he heard Felix squeal at his phone. Chan blinked and said, "Yeah, I am just going to get some fresh air outside."

Seungmin frowned, "Do you want me to join you? It is a pleasant day." Chan said, "Nah, I'm fine, you eat your lunch, I will be back in no time." Seungmin smiled, "I'll be waiting."

With that, Chan walked out of his school, on the footpath, admiring the trees and feeling the cool breeze. The atmosphere was warm and quiet.

Until he heard tires screech.
