Chapter 24

Hyunjin's locker was right behind Felix's locker. All Felix had to do was turn around to talk to Hyunjin. Felix had been feeling guilty like crazy. Felix took a deep breath, shut his locker, spun around and tapped Hyunjin on his shoulder.

Hyunjin shrieked and hit his head on the top as he startled. Hyunjin groaned rubbing his head mumbling, "Why did I not keep my arm there." Hyunjin turned around and looked down to see Felix.

Both of them stared at each other for a moment. Hyunjin looked away, not sure what to do. Felix cleared his throat and said, "How are... were your two holidays?"

Hyunjin looked back and said, "Life changing. I might as well start eating sweets."

Felix blinked. Both of them stood there staring at each other again.

Felix cleared his throat, "I'm sorry." Hyunjin's brows knit together, "Why?"

"For ghosting you."

"Oh, no biggie."

"It is a 'biggie'."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

Felix sighed. Hyunjin was stubborn. Felix said, "How long did you wait?"

"Till it got too dark and cold." Hyunjin thought. He said, "For like, twenty minutes."

Felix nodded and thought, "At least he got home soon." He said, "Why didn't you text me?"

Hyunjin looked at Felix with confusion, "I was supposed to?"

"Well, duh."

"You are the one who ghosted me."

"Weren't you curious why?" Felix said with a scoff. Hyunjin let out a huff, "You know what? I take it back. I'm sorry, but I waited till it got dark. You know why? Because I was stupid enough to think that you care."

Felix growled shoving Hyunjin against his locker, "I DO CARE! I JUST DON'T LIKE YOU!"

Hyunjin let out a breath. He grabbed Felix by his collar and spun him around, this time pinning Felix against the locker beside him. Felix gasped, his feet raised from the ground and students gathering around.

Hyunjin gently let Felix down on the ground and said, "I look weak. I am not." Hyunjin stepped back and turned around.

Felix said, "I didn't mean to-" "Didn't mean to what?" Hyunjin turned around angrily, "Didn't mean to ghost me without any message? Didn't mean to make me feel important and cared for? Didn't mean to shove me against a locker because I don't fight back? You have a lot of apologies to make."

Felix's eyes watered. Before Felix could say something, Lee Know came into view and pushed the two boys apart. Felix hadn't realised how close to each other they were standing. Lee Know said gently but firmly, "Hyunjin go to your class. Felix, you are coming with me."

Hyunjin shuddered and walked away, his hands in his pockets. Felix didn't fail to notice how Hyunjin looked more confident than before. Lee Know shook Felix, "Are you listening Yon-" "YES!" Felix shouted and immediately apologised.

Lee Know lead Felix towards class and said, "Either support Hyunjin fully or not at all. Don't confuse him, he'll feel like you are using him, ok?" Felix nodded quietly.

Hyunjin was sitting in his English class behind Seungmin and Chan. The couple were obviously ok with PDA, because Hyunjin wanted to puke.

He wanted to cry, but he felt more angry. Now that Lee Know was with him again, shouldn't he be happy? He sighed, he was whipped for Felix. Hyunjin felt afraid, what if Felix wasn't as good as he thought he was. What if he couldn't see because of how desperate he was.

Hyunjin shook his head. He hoped this ghosting thing sorted out between them soon. Hyunjin really wanted Felix.

His sunshine.

Meanwhile,

Han's leg was better now. He could walk again, but he didn't want to. Lee Know said that Han must be enjoying the no school days, but Felix knew that Han was just enjoying spending time with Lee Know every evening.

Felix sighed in class. He couldn't concentrate. He should be happy his best friend is coming back to school. He should be happy that Lee Know looks like he got his soul back. He should be happy that Chan and Seungmin were getting along with their own friend group. He should be happy about so many things going on in his life.

But all he could think about was Hyunjin. Hyunjin looked so... sad? No, he looked more mad too... Hyunjin looked hurt when Felix had shouted that he didn't like him. Why did Felix even say that. Felix groaned gripping his hair in his fists.

"Till it got dark" Hyunjin had said. Did Hyunjin really wait that long? Didn't it get cold? Felix chewed on his bottom lip, Hyunjin was a little stupid for sure.

Felix closed his eyes. Hyunjin wasn't stupid. No. Hyunjin was hoping. Hyunjin was holding on to the hope that Felix would come.

Felix opened his eyes and let go of his hair. Everything went quiet. All Felix could hear was his own breath. Everything felt distant and foggy. Felix stood up and walked outside towards the bathroom. He felt detached. He felt cold. His cheeks and the tip of his nose were freezing. His fingers looked pink, probably like his face because of the cold. His arms hurt and he felt weak.

The floor of the hallways was wet and Felix could see his reflection in the floor. Everything was dull but bright. No more sound. Felix froze in his spot. He tried to run but he couldn't move. He slipped and fell backwards. Everything felt like it was moving in slow motion. Felix flailed his hands.

A warm hand took hold of his right hand, stopping Felix from falling. The grip was firm. Felix looked at the slender fingers and tried to move closer to the warmth. The person who prevented him from falling was warm. A sharp contrast to Felix's surroundings.

Felix tried to pull himself closer to the stranger, but couldn't move. Suddenly, the hand pulled Felix forward with force, and Felix was pressed up against a taller person. His eyes dark but filled with light.

The stranger was warm, Felix huddled closer to the warmth. He looked into the stranger's eyes again. They were familiar. They gave him comfort.

Felix's gaze dropped to the guy's lips, full and plump. Felix's eyebrows furrowed. They were so beautiful. He looked into his comforting eyes again. He felt safe in his warm embrace. He hadn't realised that they were hugging until now.

Then the guy tilted his head and leaned close to his ear. His hot breath fanned over Felix's ear as he whispered, "Wake up my angel."

Felix gasped realising it was Hyunjin's voice. Hyunjin's eyes. Hyunjin's lips. Hyunjin's hands. Hyunjin's body.

"TO THE OFFICE LEE FELIX!" The Ethics teacher shouted as Felix shot up from his sleep. His mind still on Hyunjin.
