Meerab Malik, aged 23, is the daughter of the late Waqas Malik and his wife Nazia Malik, who once were the heads of the Malik clan. She is a fresh graduate returning home to Hyderabad for the first time in 4 years after studying Law in London.
Succeeding Waqas Malik's reign on the gaddi is his brother Malik Mukhtar, his two heirs are Mir Malik and Saba Malik.
Khan Murtasim Khan, aged 26, is the heir to sickly Shahnawaz's gaddi, and on his father's untimley demise, Murtasim has started taking on the mountain load of responsibility. Maa Begum is Shahnawaz's doting wife, and along with Murtasim, they have Mariyum and have adopted Haya as a daughter.
Anwar Khan is Murtasim's chachu and Anas Khan is his son, both of which live in the Hyderabad haveli.
Maa Begum's mother, Nano, lives in the goan. Along with Murtasim's Mamu Amir Khan, that manages the land, his wife Zara and their son, Rohail Khan, also reside in the traditional mansion.
