Chapter 13

Heather’s POV

I thought that Adrian was going to be mad at me or think I was lying when I told him what the moon goddess told me. Thankfully he comforted me and told me that everything is going to be just fine. He was such an amazing ate

I wonder how Sarah was doing with her mate – Josh. I hope that there getting along. They seem really happy like Adrian and I.

Adrian and I were still in bed. We went to bed after I told him about us being the chosen ones. I was still comfortable and warm in his arms.

I didn’t want to get up. I wanted to stay in his arms. I molded into his body perfectly and whenever we kissed our lips always matched. My hand fit inside his easily. We were perfect together.

“Morning Angel” I heard his say taking me out of my deep thoughts.

“Morning cutie” I said back knowing that he hated it when I called him that. I turned to face him. He did a low growl of annoyance and I couldn’t help but laugh.

“You’re only making yourself cuter by doing that I say as I tap his nose.

“Don’t be mad” I said while making a puppy face and he chuckled.

“I could never stay mad at you” he said as he pecked my lips and I smirked. We had to go to school today but I didn’t feel like it but we have to. We have skipped to many school days this month.

I got up and got ready.

Adrian did the same.

I met him downstairs and we had breakfast and left for school.

Thankfully lunch came pretty quick. I sat with Adrian and his friends.

“Hey angel” Adrian said as he sat me down on his lap.

“Hey” I said turning around giving him a peck on the lips. Nathan made a fake gag noise and I shot him one of my death glares and he immediately shut up.

The school sluts were the table over from us. One of them kept looking over at us and giving me a weird glare. Something was up with them but I just didn’t know what. From the first day that I was with Adrian they kept doing that and I wasn’t fond of it. I wasn’t sure if Adrian had noticed them or not.

I glared at them back and she immediately looked away like nothing happened.

I saw Lily with the school sluts. She never used to be with them. She used to be my friend. She turned away from me as soon as I started hanging around with Adrian.

I don’t understand why she was so mad at me. It’s not like we can pick who our mate is.

Maybe she was jealous. Maybe that’s why she wanted me to stay away from Adrian. Or maybe it’s because she hasn’t found her mate yet and I have.

She whispered to the girl that kept giving me glares and I saw them smirk and chuckle. I let a low growl out not meaning to. I didn’t want to draw the attention of the wolves at my table. Too late for that.

Adrian and his friends stopped their conversation and wiped their heads looking my way. I didn’t take my eyes off of the sluts.

“What's wrong?” Adrian asked whispering in my ear.

I let out another low growl and shook my head telling him that it was nothing.

“It was obviously something if you growled” he said as he rested his chin at the crook of my neck and put his hands on my legs. It sent shivers through my body.

“I'm fine, Adrian. Just let it go” I quietly said as I moved my gaze from Lily and the girl she was talking to, to Adrian.

“Are you sure?” he asked me and I could still feel all of Adrian’s friends staring at me.

“Yes. Thanks” I told him as I turned around so I could continue eating.

I guess I could say that Adrian’s friends were my friends as well but its only because I'm Adrian’s mate.

Lunch ended and Adrian walked me to my next class. I didn’t have this one with him but I had it with Lily and I saw the slut she was talking to was sitting next to her.

We walked to the front and I turned around to face him.

“Thank babe” I said as I pecked him on the lips. I could feel Lily and the slut’s gaze on me.

As I was taking a step back he grabbed a hold of my wrist and pulled me closed to him. He kissed me and he deepened into the kiss. He licked my bottom lip asking for an entrance but I didn’t grant it to him. I pulled away when the bell rang.

“I have to go and you do too. You’re going to be late” I told him.

“I don’t care as long as I got to spend more time with you” he said as he pecked me on the lips one last time before walking away to his class.

I walked in my class and the only seat that was left was near Lily and her slutty friend. Just my luck. Luck was never on my side. Only with Adrian.

I sat down and I heard the two sluts behind me giggle.

The teacher was giving a lecture. A crumpled piece of paper was thrown at me from behind. I opened it and there was a note on it. Half of it was Lily’s handwriting and the other half was someone else’s. Most likely the slut she was hanging out with.
