Chapter 36

I let my wolf take control. I leaped onto the man and killed him instantly since he didn’t have enough time to shift. I could hear Adrian yelling at me and calling out my name. He was telling me to stop but I didn’t listen. I needed to get my girl back and this is the only way. The other rouges growled at me threateningly but I didn’t stop. Then they went into action. One jumped on me and bit my leg. I heard my bones shatter as I cried in pain. That was enough to make Adrian shift and attack the wolf that hurt me. Even though I was hurt, I didn’t give up. I kept fighting.

When I was finally able to back out of the fight unseen I ran over to Jade. She was trying to hide by a nearby tree. She was sitting down with her knees up to her chest and her arms wrapped tightly around her legs as she shook in fear. I went to her. When she saw me I could tell she didn’t know who I was so she whimpered in fear and inched away from me. I looked at her with loving eyes and took it one step at a time slowly approaching her. When I was finally up to her I rubbed my nose against her arm letting her know I wasn’t going to harm her. I lay down next to her cuddled up with her. She slowly moved her hand to rub my head. I licked her hand and she slightly smiled. I looked into her eyes and that’s when she realized who I was.

“Mommy” she slightly squealed and hugged me. I licked her face letting her know it was really me. She sighed and laid down resting her head on my back. I could tell that she finally felt safe and secure. I looked at the fight that was going on. All of the rouges were dead except one. Adrian and the rouge were looking at each other with pitch black eyes and they growled at each other. Adrian’s growl overpowered the rouges. It was much louder and more intimidating. But it didn’t faze the rouge. He held his ground and tried to stare Adrian down but it didn’t affect Adrian, he just stared right back. Then finally the rouge made a move. He ran then leaped for Adrian who quickly dodged him. The rouge then ran into a tree causing me to slightly snicker but not loud enough that he could hear.

The rouge got back up and shook his cost before going after Adrian again. This time Adrian didn’t move away, instead he jumped at the rouge so they meet and clawed each other in midair before landing back on the ground.

‘Use your powers’ I told Adrian through the mind link.

‘I don’t want to kill him’ he said. Why wouldn’t he want to kill him? He’s a rouge, he kidnapped our daughter and he’s attacking Adrian. Well I'm not going to question him. Whatever he wants to do with the dirty rouge he can. As long as he doesn’t harm the people I care about which includes my whole pack. If Adrian doesn’t kill him then I'm sure he’s going to our pack’s prison.

I turned my attention back to Jade for a few moments just to make sure that she was okay. Then I looked back at Adrian and the rouge. I decided I had enough of this fighting so I used my power of controlling actions and made the rouge fall asleep. Adrian looked confused. He looked at the rouge then turned his head to me and gave me a wolfy grin causing me to slightly chuckle. Adrian walked over to Jade and I. he looked at Jade for a moment and the look of love flashed through his eyes. Then he turned his attention to me. His eyes were filled with love and worry. He licked my face and I laughed.

“Ugh” I said while whipping it off and he playfully growled. I looked down at Jade as she stirred and looked up at Adrian. Confusion flashed through her eyes before she spoke.

“Daddy?” she asked quietly. Adrian nodded his head and licked her hand causing her to laugh. She stood up and hugged Adrian while rubbing the top of his head. I stood up after Jade was off me then I picked her up. She rested her head on my shoulder and shifted as she tried to get comfortable. Adrian went over to the knocked out rouge and somehow managed to get him in his back. We walked back home and it felt like forever before we finally reached our house. Jade ended falling asleep in my arms on the way and I still had the rouge under my control even though it was starting to drain me and I was becoming weak and tired.
