Forever and Always Mine

Chapter 14

Heather's POV

The teacher was giving a lecture. A crumpled piece of paper was thrown at me from behind. I opened it and there was a note on it. Half of it was Lily’s handwriting and the other half was someone else’s. Most likely the slut she was hanging out with.

The note said:

I warned you. You should have listened to me but you didn’t. I told you to stay away from him but no you had to go against me. Don’t you ever understand that when someone tells you to do something-you should do it? You think you’re so safe because you have Adrian? Well don’t. You’re never safe and the worst is yet to come.

You were warned!

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous because I was. They were stronger than me and Adrian can’t protect me from everything.

All I ever do is cause Adrian and his pack trouble. He’s too good for me and I don’t deserve him.

I know the moon goddess said that we were the chosen ones but I don’t know if that’s the best idea now. I wish I could talk to her or the fates. Anyone that would know what I should do.

I was so confused. The last thing I wanted to do was to hurt Adrian. I don’t want to hurt his pack either. He’s such a great Alpha and he doesn’t need me there just to ruin it.

I know that he’s one of the strongest packs out there too but that still doesn’t help. Who knows what those evil minded sluts could do to me or someone I love.

Why can’t I be happy for once? Why can’t I live a normal life with no drama for at least one day? Everyday there’s something or someone new that I have to worry about. I wish that Adrian and I could have one day with no worries and all we would do was be with each other.

The bell rang taking me out of my thoughts. I jumped a bit in my seat but not enough for anyone to notice.

I grabbed my things and headed out of the door.

My next class I had with Adrian. I wish that we could have every class together and those sluts could take his classes so I wouldn’t have to see them. Thankfully I didn’t have this class with them.

“Hey love” Adrian said as he kissed my cheek. I just smiled at him as we took our seats. We sat right next to each other in every class we had together which wasn’t too many.

The teacher was giving us a lecture, again.

Adrian nudged me and I immediately looked at him.

“What’s wrong?” he asked me with a concerned face.

Was it really that easy to tell that I had something on my mind that was bothering me or was it just the fact that he’s my mate?

“I'm fine.” I lied. I don’t need him worrying about me ar stressing over me more than he already is. He’s such a good mate.

“Tell me the truth, Heather. What's on your mind?” he asked me.

“Nothing I just want to go home” I said not looking at him. I was looking down at my blank notebook. Usually I would draw or something but today I didn’t feel like doing anything. I had too much on my mind.

“Mr. Alves?” Adrian said as he tried to get our teachers attention. I had no clue why but it really didn’t matter.

“Yes Adrian?” The teacher answered back.

“Heather doesn’t feel well. Is it okay if I bring her home?” he asked. I was a bit shocked. I mean I know that he would use any excuse he could to get out of school but I didn’t think he would really take me home.

“You’re not feeling well Heather?” Mr. Alves asked me.

I was still looking down and I just shook my head no.

“Alright, take her down and let the office know your leaving” Mr. Alves said.

“Thank you Mr. Alves” Adrian said as he helped me up.

We walked out of the class room and went to the main office.

“How may I help you?” the lady asked us while looking down at some paper work.

“I have to take Heather home, she isn’t feeling too well” Adrian said answereing her back.

“Okay, well you’re really not supposed to but I will let you go home” she said as she wrote something down on a piece of paper.

“Thank you” Adrian said as he led me out of the office. He had his arm securely wrapped around my waist to help me up.

We walked outside and to his car. Thankfully we didn’t take his motorcycle today.

He helped me into the passenger side and buckled me in.

“I think I can buckle myself in, Adrian” I said with a sigh.

“Oh well” he said as he closed the door and jogged to the driver’s side.

He started the car and we were on our way home.

It was a short ride since we live close to the school. He pulled into the driveway and he got out of the car and jogged over to my side. I'm more than capable of opening the car door myself. I don’t need or want him doing every little thing for me. what’s next? Is he going to start feeding me? I thought to myself as Adrian opened my door and helped me get out.

He put his arm around my waist and walked me to the door and unlocked it.

All of a sudden he picked me up bridal style and carried me to our room. He laid me down on our bed and he laid down next to me.

I remembered how I had the note that I received earlier in my pocket. I had to show it to Adrian. I can’t hide things from him, and he would find out sooner or later.

I put my hand in my pocket and took out the crumpled up piece of paper with the threat I received today written on it. I turned around so I was facing him. He gave me a confused look. I sighed and handed him the paper. He took it but still had a confused look.

He opened it and started reading it. I closed my eyes not wanted to see his reaction. I heard him growl and it wasn’t a quiet growl either. I opened my eyes to see that his were pitch black with a tint of gold. His wolf was trying to surface but I could tell he was trying to control him.

He got up and he walked over to a wall. He rested his head against it and took a deep breath. His whole body was tense and his breathing was getting heaver and I could tell he was getting angrier.

Next thing I knew he punched the wall leaving a gaping hole and he ran downstairs. I heard the front door slam shut. I got up from the bed and walked over to the window. I saw him running towards the woods. He jumped and he shifted. His clothes tore apart and I watched him until he was out of sight.

I went back to our bed and laid down. I sighed and was about to close my eyes and try to clear my mind when something came into my room. I opened my eyes more to see that it wasn’t something but it was someone. And I gasped a little when I saw who it was. It was . . .

Author's Note

Sorry it took me a while to update. I have been busy with school and i have practice right after school so I get home late. Then i have homework. i hoped you liked this chapter. I know it's a little short but thats okay.
