Chapter 15

Heather's POV

I sighed and was about to close my eyes and try to clear my mind when something came into my room. I opened my eyes more to see that it wasn’t something but it was someone. And I gasped a little when I saw who it was.

            It was the moon goddess. I know I said that I had wanted to talk to either her or the fates but I didn’t think any of them would answer me. I was glad that she was here but I wonder why. There must be an important reason why she is here. Hopefully it was good news that she has to deliver. I don’t think I could handle any more bad news today. I guess I will just listen to what she has to say and hope for the best.

“Hello again” she said to me (the moon goddess.)

“Hello” I said quietly.

“I have some news for you” she said. Oh great, the last time she brought me news I wasn’t too happy about it.

“Okay” I answered back.

“I know that you have been thinking that all you do is cause trouble for Adrian and the pack but “I know that you have been thinking that all you do is cause trouble for Adrian and the pack but your wrong” she told me.

“How? I caused him trouble with Alpha Erick, then those two vampires. I still don’t know why they went after Sarah and me. I have never had an encounter with them before and they usually don’t mess with werewolves, and now those girls are causing trouble and it will only get worse from there. I don’t want him being involved with my screwed up life. I told him that I didn’t want to tell him about Alpha Erick but he found out anyways and it caused trouble. Now the girls are going to cause trouble” I told her.

“First off, Adrian loves you and always will. You don’t have to worry about what’s ahead because you will never face it alone. Second, don’t worry about those girls. And third the vampires are after you and there is a reason” she told me. I was shocked. I have never had any encounter with them, I thought to myself.

“Why the hell do the vampires want me? I have never had an encounter with them before” I said to her.

“No you haven’t but you are a hybrid.”

When she said that, I was shocked. I thought I was pure wolf. This makes no sense to me what so ever. How could this be? That means either my mother or my father is part vampire. I wonder if they know. But why would the vampires want me? I'm sure there are other hybrids out there? All these thoughts went through my mind as I just stood there in front of the moon goddess speechless; not making a single noise except for my breathing.

“W-why would they want me? Why j-just me?” I finally chocked out.

“Because your grandfather - he’s the vampire king and your grandmother was a wolf and was captured by him and was forced to be with him. Your father is half werewolf and half vampire but he doesn’t know. The werewolf in him is more powerful than the vampire. And your mom is part angel but she knows that. There aren’t many hybrids in this world that are quite like you, Heather. You are a very special in many ways.”

“I still don’t understand why my grandfather would want me. I'm so confused” I say as I rub my temples. I'm starting to get a headache and I just want Adrian to be here next to me.

“Your grandfather is a very controlling and harsh man and has been around for a long time. He has captured many hybrids and has been on the search for you ever since you were born. As soon as your father was born, your grandfather left your grandmother. He has attacked many wolf packs over time in search of a certain hybrid. Once he found out that you were the hybrid he needed he started to search for you. Your blood is what he needs to be able to go out into the sun. He will pretty much be invincible if he gets his hands on you. It only takes one drop” she paused but continued what she was saying.
