BRIAN HAD DROVE THE TWO
Toretto siblings to a police impound. "502, wet reckless. I need a 48-hour hold." Brian said, showing his badge. Jules faced the opposite way of the security guard, not wanting to deal with the looks.

"Out back. Any spot you can find." The guard told Brian. Once they found a spot, Dom helped Jules out of the car. "You hanging in there?" "I will be with this bruise bigger than life." She mumbled, running a hand over her side to soothe the pain.

"You sure about this?" Dom asked, eyeing the place. "Yeah. The last place they'll check, their own impound yard. Trust me," Brian said in a monotone voice. Jules' eyes snapped to his at the words "trust me" in a way they didn't feel like they belong in that sentence.

"You know, I've been thinking," Brian started as the three walked. "When you blew up your car, you blew up mine, too." He stated. "Yeah?" Dom said. "Yeah, and mine." Jules chirped, giving her brother a smile as he glared at her.

"So now you owe me a ten-second car." Doms head snapped to Brian's. "Is that right?" "Yeah." Brian answered with a smirk. Dom was quick, though. He'd found some car, broke the window and opened the door for Brian. "Now we're even.

The three racers had made it to Brian's new place to hide out for the night. Jules had called Mia, telling her that Dom needed help and she was too banged up to do anything about it.

"The bullet's not in there." Mia then after removing the gauze. "I'm gonna clean it and stich it up. It's gonna hurt." Mia said aloud. "I bet you're gonna enjoy this," Dom joked, making a small smile appear on Jules's face.

"A little." Mia responded. If it wasn't for their lifestyle, Jules always believed Mia would become a nurse or something in that field. She always took care of others, not wanting to see people in pain. If only Jules had a heart as pure as Mia's.

"And you should go lay down. Ice pack every thirty minutes." Mia ordered her older sister. "And miss the best part." Jules whined. "Go." Without arguing once more, Jules slowly got up before turning to Brian. "Mind showing me a room?" Brian watched carefully before getting up and showing her the room.

Jules let out a low groan as she lied down. "You gonna be okay?" He asked. "Yeah, I'll live." She murmured, not bother to open her eyes. "Advil and water beside you. I'll wake you when we figure shit out." He said, walking away. "Might be asleep forever, then." Jules laughed as she heard Brian close the door.

Jules woke up at the sound of commotion outside the room. She was grateful for popping the Advil Brian left her as her side was feeling less painful and more so sore.

Jules coughed when she entered the kitchen area, seeing the three eating takeout. "I hope you were planning on saving some for me." She said, pulling up a chair and sitting across from Mia. "I was about to wake you." Mia answered as Jules watched Dom eating.

"Dom, what the hell are you doing?" She called out as the two men gave her a confused look. "You reached first, you have to say grace," Jules justified, watching her brother take a sip of beer before speaking.

"Thank you, Lord, for blessing this table." "With food and family and friendship." Mia added. "Amen!" Jules cheered, holding her glass of water up in the air for a cheer.

After dinner, Jules told Mia it was best to split for her protection. It felt calm seeing her sister; she didn't realize how longs it's been without having her family have a meal together. It felt nice.

Jules sighed as she walked back to the table, seeing Brian eye her. "What?" She asked, leaning into the chair. "You asked me why I let Dom go," Brian started, putting his forearms against the table.

"I think it's because at that moment, I respected him more than I did myself." Jules watched him carefully as he spoke, sounding genuine. "One thing I learned Form Dom is that nothing really matters unless you have a code." Brian said, looking at his ex-lover.

"And what's your code, Blondie." Jules smirked. "I'm working on it." He answered as his eyes brightened. Suddenly, Brian's phone rang. "Oh shit. Hey, Dom." Brian called as Dom slowly walked in. "When were you gonna tell me?"

"Dom, what are you doing?" Jules asked, watching as Brian took steps closer to Dom. "When were you gonna tell me you were running Letty?" Don asked angrily. "Let me explain." The next thing Jules knew was that Brian was being thrown into a shelf by Dom.

Jules froze at the scene before her before finally processing everything. "Dominic stop!" She yelled repeatedly as her brother beat Brian. "Dom please." Jules begged as she watched Dom pick up Brian, dropping him on the hard concrete floor.

"She did it for you, Dom! She did it for you!" Brian yelled, making Dom stop his actions. "Letty came to me to clear your name in exchange for bringing down Braga." Brian explained as a tear fell from Jules's eyes.

"She just wanted you to come home!" Brian yelled. Jules looked at her brother as he looked back at her. Her best friend died for her brother. "I'm sorry, Dom! I'm sorry!" Brian cried out in anger as Dom walked away.

"Jules," Brian whispered, getting up, slowly walking to her. "I, uh, I need to go and um, I just need to go," Jules mumbled, leaving the room.

She didn't know where to go, but she just needed to think. Think about anything but what just happened.
