JULES FOUND HERSELF WALKING
up the stairs with groceries in hand on her way to her apartment. She struggled to put her key in the lock as her hands were full. By the time she got into her apartment, she had placed the bags on the kitchen counter, taking a deep breath.

It had been three months since everything went down with her family and Brian. She didn't want to remember the guy she loved or the memories. She instead followed Mia's word and moved away. Some days she felt alone, while others she felt at peace since no one could hurt her.

"You're a hard woman to find, Ms. Toretto." Jules turned around quickly, seeing a man sitting on her couch. "Can I help you?" Jules asked, eyebrows furrowed. "Actually, you can," the man said, getting up and walking closer to Jules.

"You see, you were requested by someone to do a job for the police." The man told Jules. Jules laughed at the man. "Like hell, I'd help you." She spat, remembering the hurt Brian had put her through. "Well, if you don't want to go to jail for the same crimes as O'Conner-"

"What did you just say?" Jules asked angrily. It was like she couldn't get away from him. "It was either I told you now or you found out soon." He stated it bluntly. "Whatever, I'm not doing it." Jules responded, rolling her eyes. "You're a smart girl, Jules, smart enough to be a cop. You know your options." He told her, changing his position.

Jules thought about it for a moment. If she were to be arrested, she'd more than likely be killed, and if she wasn't, she'd still be running. "On one condition: you drop my charges." Jules told him. The man smiled. "Deal. Now if you'd follow me, we've got someone else to pick up." He said, walking to the door.

"Wait, what's your name?" Jules asked, grabbing her keys. "You can call me Bilkins." He answered, opening the door. Jules caught up, walking out and locking the door. "If I punch Brian, don't stop me." She said, not looking at Bilkins, who raised his hands in surrender.

Jules and Bilkins had finally arrived at what looked like a show for destroying cars and people. "Jules." She heard the familiar voice of Brian. She knew she wouldn't be able to ignore him, but she could try. "It's good to see you," Brian said, looking Jules up and down.

"Whatever." Jules mumbled, hitting his shoulder as she walked past him to a bleacher. Jules felt weird seeing Brian; he still had the same blue eyes and charm. Jules felt a pang in her heart; she didn't know if she could do this job anymore. It didn't take long for the two men to join her in watching the chaos unfold.

"Jesus Christ." She said as the guy they needed, Roman, crashed a car into the wall. "That's your boy in the Monte Carlo?" Bilkins asked from behind Jules. "Yeah, that's him." Brian confirmed. "A little crazy, don't ya think?" Jules said, glaring at Brian as she turned her head.

"In a good way, though. He's the man for the job." Brian said, looking down at Jules. Unwanted butterflies entered Jules' stomach as she saw the familiar look. "He's got quite a record, including three years upstate. Says here he's on house arrest now. Can't go more than 100 yards from his home." Bilkins snapped Jules out of her thoughts.

"For a reason, clearly." She said, watching as a car was flipped, making Roman the winner. As Roman got out of his car, he smiled until his gaze landed on the three, Brian specifically. "Well shit. Looks like you've got another hater, O'Conner." Jules smirked at the boy before following slowly behind Roman.

"Pearce!" Brian called, running up past Jules. "Roman Pearce!" Brian called again after getting ignored. Brian turned his head to look at the two people following him. "Yo, whatever happens next, just let it go," Brian told them.

"I ain't in it." Bilkins said, raising his hands. However, Jules didn't respond to Brian. The blonde whistled, calling out, "Rome!" Roman finally stopped, turned around, and looked at Brian. "Only my homeboys call me Rome, Pig." Roman sneered, spitting on the ground.

"I'm not a cop anymore, bro," Brian responded as Jules let out a 'pft' sound, not believing the blonde. If Brian wasn't a cop anymore, then she wouldn't be there doing some stupid job.

"Is that true?" Roman said in a taunting manner. "Blondie here's not a cop anymore?" Roman asked, walking closer. "That's true. No badge." Bilkins confirmed. "Don't need a badge to be a cop," Jules mumbled loud enough for Bilkins to nudge her arm.

Roman waited a second as he clenched his fist, throwing a swing at Brian. "I wanted to do that." Jules whined as the two ex-friends fought. "You got time. Follow me," Bilkins said, walking to a chair outside a trailer.

The two boys bickered before finally calling quits and instead starting a somewhat civil conversation, not loud enough for Jules or Bilkins to hear. Jules enjoyed watching Brian get his ass beat, although she felt the same butterflies enter again as she watched the blonde fight.

"You guys finished?" Bilkins asked, taking off his sunglasses as the two men walked back. "This deal legit?" Roman asked. "That's right, if you do this job for us. Why do you think she's here?" Bilkins said, nodding his head to Jules, who was using her hand to block the sun from her face.

"Told you." Brian said, like a child. "Shut up, punk. So you gonna clean my record and get this thing off my ankle?" Roman said, lifting his leg to hit his ankle tag. "That's right. I thought you couldn't wander more than 100 yards from your home," Bilkins said, slightly confused.

"Why do you think I'm parked so close to the derby?" Roman said, looking between the three people. "Man, quit playin' like you gonna pass this up." Brian spoke up, smirking.

Roman said a bunch of bullshit before Jules said something. "Just say yes. You're not winning. I sure as hell didn't." Jules said as she earned glares from all three men.
