"I'M GONNA NEED A RIDE HOME."
Jules stated, looking at Brian. "Nah, it's getting too risky. You have to crash with us," Brian replied, never averting his eyes from the road. "He's right, we do not want a repeat of today." Roman added, leaning back into his seat.

Jules groaned, knowing she wouldn't be able to go to her apartment, and worst of all, she wouldn't be able to call Mia. She'd been missing the girl immensely, and now that the cops and Verone were watching, she wouldn't be able to contact anyone.

During the entire ride, Roman would not stop talking about what they witnessed and Monica's involvement. "She was into it, man. What's that about?" Roman asked as all three racers got out of the car that was parked outside of Tej's garage.

"And you seen the way she grabbed the dude's head." Roman stated, causing Jules to scoff. "For someone who didn't like what they saw, you sure as hell keep talking about it." Jules sneered. Brian wedged himself between the two before anything could be said.

"She had to, man. He was testing her. You gotta remember, her ass is on the line, just like ours," Brian said, defending Monica. Jules grimaced at Brian's words; they sounded as if he felt something for the girl.

"You feelin' this girl way too much. She just like that crazy-ass trailer-raff from back in the day, Tonya." Brian looks at Jules before answering Roman. "Tonya? Man, you went out with her after I did." Jules scoffed at the two boys before going to the table.

The group of four were playing cards while Jules, Brian, and Roman watched. Tej ended up winning with a royal flush, making Jimmy eat his words.

Jules bid everyone a goodnight and headed to the boat. Jules looked around the room for something comfortable to wear, since she was only in her dress. "Oh, uh, sorry." Brian's voice caught Jules' ears, making her jump and face him.

"No, you're all good," Jules told him, crossing her arms. "Not the biggest place." Brian said, making the awkwardness in the room increase. Jules looked around the room, finally noticing the one bed in the room, and closed her eyes before taking a deep breath. "One bed," Jules mumbled.

"Look, I can take the floo—" "Are we going to avoid the elephant in the room?" Jules asked, crossing her arms over her chest. "I don't know; you tell me." Brian responded, taking a seat at the edge of the bed. Jules sucked her lips in, avoiding Brian's gaze.

"Your scar?" Brian asked, breaking the silence. "What about it?" Jules grumbled, making eye contact with Brian. "How'd it happen?" He asked, twiddling with his fingers. "Johnny's crew, same day Jesse died." Jules said it bluntly. "But I pulled you to the ground-"

"It doesn't matter! You ruined it all, and by the end of this, I will never see you again, and that's a promise." Jules seethed as Brian gave Jules a nod. Brian went to his pack and grabbed a t-shirt and shorts for Jules, knowing she'd be uncomfortable.
