BY THE TIME IT GOT TO MID-DAY,
the four racers decided it was best to start cooking some dinner while Leon, Vince, and Letty drove back with some more food . Engines roared from down the street, getting closer to the Toretto household.

"I'm outta here." Vince announced as he made eye contact with Brian and then Jules, who was standing beside the blonde. "Vince, get over here and give us a hand." Dom shouted as Vince started walking. "Looks like you got all the help you need, brother." Vince yelled back, getting into his car and speeding off.

"Don't take it personally. He's a loser." Jules whispered to the boy, running her hand up and down his arm. From a distance, Letty and Mia were watching the scene unfold. "She likes him." "He likes her." They said it at the same time, looking at each other and smiling. The two girls knew that it was fate calling to Julianna.

An hour later, dinner was ready. "Mia, Jules. The chickens dry already." Dom yelled. "This boy. Number one illegal driver and is worried about food." Jules joked as Mia laughed, exiting the house with a salad in hand, Jesse with bread, and Jules and Brian with beers in hand.

Placing the beers down, Jules went over to her older brother and gave him a hug. "Let's sit down." Dom said, playfully ruffling her hair. Sitting down, Jesse is the first to dig in. "Wait. Hold up. Because you were the first out of everybody here to reach in to get chicken, you say grace." Dom said, giving Jesse a pointed look.

"Dear heavenly, uh..." Jesse struggled. "Spirit." Leon helped out. "Spirit. Thank you. Uh, thank you for providing us with a direct port nitrous injection, four-core intercoolers, and ball-bearing turbos, and, um, titanium valve springs." We all clapped and prayed. "Prayin' to the car gods, man." Letty joked, laughing with all of us.

"Look who it is." Leon said, causing Jules to turn her head to the right, seeing Vince walk to the table with an angry look. "Old Coyotes 'R' Us. I thought you weren't hungry, pumpkin." Leon laughed while Jules watched Brian with furrowed brows.

"You know, I gotta eat." Vince replied with a shrug. "He's always hungry." Letty said. "And a loser." Jules mumbled loud enough for Brian to hear. "Alright, sit down." Vince walked around the table, taking a seat in front of Brian and Jules.

Vince took a sip of his beer, never taking his eyes off Brian. All Jules could think was that when Brian did it, it was so much hotter. "Let's eat some grub, man." Letty said, patting Vince's back. The tension was there for the entire dinner but wasn't acted upon, thankfully.

After dinner, the group chose to watch a move that Jules and the rest of the group have seen a million times. Jules let Mia watch the movie while she did the dishes. "You need a hand with anything else." Brian asked, placing a dirty plate on the counter.

"Nah, I've got it. You can go join the boys watchin' the movies while Vince glares at you." Jules said with a smirk, scrubbing a plate. "No, you see, the cook doesn't clean where I come from." Brian said, as used the rag to dry the dishes. "Well, good thing I'm not the cook today." Jules remarked, stealing a glance over to Brian.

"I think we should go out sometime." Brian suggested. "No, I don't date my brothers bitches, Blondie." Jules said with a laugh. "Wow. That sucks. I guess I'll have to kick his ass then." Brian told the girl as she laughed. "I'd love to see that one. No, I would pay to see that one, actually." Jules laughed as she and Brian made eye contact.

On the inside, Jules was smiling like a schoolgirl. She wasn't sure if he even liked her, and she wasn't sure if she liked him. Jules was scared when Brian easily got into her mind, but she made him work for it and will continue to make him work for it.

Brian and Jules had little chats here and there until Vince's laughter came to the kitchen. "Wash my car when you get done." Vince said, popping popcorn into the microwave. "What did you just say?" Jules questioned with an angry tone. "No, Jules. I'm talkin' to the punk." Vince said, causing both racers to face Vince.

"And wear your favourite dress, 'cause when you're done, I'm puttin' you on the street where you belong, cutie." Vince slurred as Brian straightened his stance. "Hey, loser." Jules called Vince, who was trying to start the microwave. "What was that Cuban restaurant you wanted to take me to?" Jules asked, looking back at Brian and giving him a wink.

"Cha, Cha, Cha." Vince said with a bright smile. "Well, Blondie, you can take me there. Friday night at ten. Is that good for you?" Jules asked, walking up to Brian. "Yeah, it's perfect." He answered without taking his eyes off Jules. "And Vince, wash your own damn car." Jules snapped as Vince left, hitting the door on the way out.

Brian couldn't wait, but he knew that in the end, the tough yet sweet Toretto girl would hate him forever, possibly.
