Lance confesses his crush on a certain someone. AU one shot of Sun Valley Flowers.

Maya was chilling in the living room after school, looking at her phone and eating apple slices. 

"Hey, Maya." Lance said.

"Hey." She said.

"Uh… can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what's up?"

Lance was silent before saying, "How would you feel if I had a crush on someone you didn't like?"

Maya looked at her brother with a raised brow, "I… guess I wouldn't care that much. I'd feel bad for you, but I don't control your life. Who's this mystery person?"

Lance mumbled something. 

"Who?"

"I said I like…" He mumbled again.

"What?"

"I like Acat! There, I said it!"

Maya gasped and choked on the apple she was eating. After coughing a few times, she went to get some water. Lance awkwardly stared at his feet.

"Are you insane?" Maya asked, "Why on earth do you like her?! She's a bitch!"

"She's assertive." Lance sheepishly said.

"Rude."

"Confident."

"And she looks like she's about to kill someone."

"She has style."

Maya sighed and rubbed her temples. Of all people for her brother to have a crush on, it had to be Acat?

"I know you don't like each other, but-" 

"Lance." Maya said, "We hate each other."

"Ok, and this is why I never said anything, because I'm afraid of making things weird."

"So why say something now?"

"Cause I felt guilty."

Maya looked down. After a moment, she asked, "Do you really like her?"

"At least I think I do."

"Then don't let me hold you back. If you want to ask Acat out, then go for it. But please, please, be careful with her. I don't want her to hurt you."

Lance's face lit up, "You mean it?" Maya nodded, "Ay, gracias, hermana."

"Sure. But don't think I'm gonna start being friends with her." Maya said.

The next morning at school, Lance took a deep breath as he approached Acat at her locker, "Uh… h-hey, Acat."

"Oh, hey, Lance." Acat said.

"Um… so, I was just wondering if you'd… uhh…"

"Yeah?" 

"I-I was wondering if you'd like to go see a movie some time… or something."

Acat’s brows raised in surprise, "Oh, uh… yeah."

"I'm sorry. I look like such an idiot right now, I- wait, what did you say?"

"I said I'd love to go out with you."

Lance smiled and sighed, "Great! Oh, and please try and not do anything to my sister."

Acat shrugged, "I'll try."

Lance nodded as he left for class. Maybe this would all work out after all.
