Drunk Confessions

Joaquin gets drunk and admits things he kept inside for a long time.

It's been a week since Manolo and Maria moved in with Joaquin and they had a lot to get used to. They were all just thankful the couple in question hadn't been walked in on. 

Yet.

Joaquin had promised to take his friends out for drinks one day and that day had finally arrived. 

Manolo and Maria had a few drinks, and while they were careful not to get drunk, they had gotten a little tipsy. 

It wasn't long before the soldiers found Joaquin and challenged him to a drinking game. He could hold his alcohol pretty well, so what was the worst that could happen?

"You want to play our own drinking game?" Maria asked.

"Maybe some other time." Manolo said, picking up his shot glass, "I don't think we're sober enough to start."

"Yeah, you're right. I'd want to beat you fair and square."

The couple laughed as they took their shots.

"I'm surprised Joaquin isn't here right now." Maria said, "He was the one who wanted to take us out tonight."

"Where is Joaquin, anyway?" Manolo asked.

"JOAQUIN!!!!!!"

Manolo and Maria froze at their friend's battle cry. It sounded like he was outside with the other soldiers. 

Oh, no.

Manolo and Maria bolted out the door. No doubt Joaquin was drunk and they needed to make sure he wasn't getting into any trouble. 

It didn't take long to find him. Joaquin seemed to be trying to climb the building next to the bar, the other soldiers watching and cheering him on from the ground.

"What is going on?!" Maria asked.

"Joaquin’s gonna reach the top!" A soldier said. 

"How much has he had to drink?" Manolo asked. 

"We all sorta lost track." Another soldier slurred. 

Maria rolled her eyes, "Ugh, men." She called up to Joaquin, "Joaquin! Get down from there, right now!"

"Oh, hey, Maria!" Joaquin yelled, "Is Manolo there with you?"

"Joaquin, get down from there!" Manolo called, "You're going to get hurt!"

Joaquin looked over his shoulder at Manolo, "Hey, Manny! You here to see me climb?"

"Did you even hear us?!" Maria asked, "Just get down!"

"No way! I'm too high up to back out now!"

"Joaquin, you're ten feet off the ground."

Joaquin looked down at the ground and then up at the building, "So, I am. But I'm still going for it!"

"No!"

"Joaquin, we don't want you to get hurt!" Manolo said, "Just come down!"

Joaquin was silent for a second before saying, "Only if you promise that I can do this another time!"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, just get down from there!" Maria said. 

Joaquin began to slowly climb back down, the soldiers groaning in disappointment while Manolo and Maria breathed a sigh of relief. 

"Aw, come on, Joaquin." A soldier said. 

When Joaquin made it to the ground, he stared off into space.
