What Was That?

Zatz and Maya become more... exposed with each other.

It's been a few weeks since Maya and Zatz became gods. Learning how to raise the sun and moon was easy for them, but there were still many things they had to get used to.

One day, the deity couple returned home from raising the sun and setting the moon. They normally wore their armor whenever they did this in case of an unexpected encounter.

"Please tell me we don't have anything planned for today." Maya said as they walked into their room.

"We have a meeting with some of the other gods." Zatz said, "They want to see how we're handling our duties."

"Ugh." Maya sat on the bed and took off her shoes, "The sun and moon are moving as they should. I'd say we're doing fine."

Maya took off the heavier parts of her armor and was about to take off her shirt. When Zatz saw her lifting her shirt above her head, he turned away with a light blush before he could see anything.

"Could you please warn me when you're about to take your shirt off?" Zatz asked.

Maya got off the bed, turning around to see Zatz's back to her.

"Seriously, Zatz?" Maya chuckled, "We live under the same roof."

"We're also unmarried." Zatz began to remove the heavier pieces of his armor, "It wouldn't be honorable for me to see you unclothed."

Maya rolled her eyes with a smile as she changed. While she didn't have an issue with her boyfriend seeing her like this, at the end of the day, she knew how important honor was to Zatz. She'd let him be prudish.

Once she was dressed in her white skirt and top, she said, "Ok, Zatz, I'm good."

Zatz finally turned around to face Maya. He was out of his armor and was mostly dressed in black garments, minus the shirt in his hand.

Maya couldn't help but stare at Zatz's torso. She felt her face turning red as she took the sight in. While he was thin, he was still toned, showing his strength as a warrior, even if he wasn't as muscular as Picchu was.

Maybe it was because they were dating, but Maya couldn't help but admire him.

"Maya."

Maya hadn't realized Zatz was talking to her and she quickly brought herself back to reality, "Gah! What? Sorry, what did you say?"

"I was asking if you were going to see La Muerte later." Zatz said, pulling on his shirt.

"O-Oh, uh... maybe, yeah, if I can." Maya's face burned red in embarrassment.

She tried not to make eye contact as they left their room, Zatz following her with a knowing smirk. He'd let her have this one.
