"You're really sure about me dragging along as a third wheel?" I asked Sara for the billionth time as we were getting ready for a party at a friend of Dan's.
"Of course not, it's your birthday! And going to the party will save us all money on entrance and drinks" she chuckled as we added some final touches on our make-up.
"ARE YOU GIRLS READY?" Dan shouted from the living room and we giggled.
"COMING!" his girlfriend shouted back and we packed our lip glosses into our small purses before emerging from the bathroom.

"You're not even ready! Where are your trousers?!" Sara shrieked at her boyfriend when we saw him sitting on a dining chair and I quickly covered up my eyes to not watch him move around in his underwear.
"They're tight, I didn't want to put them on already..." he justified himself. "You can uncover your eyes Lina" he added and I took a small peek first, indeed seeing him just pulling up the last bit and closing the button.
"Why the hell are you even still wearing skinny jeans? They're so... 2010s" I commented as we walked down the stairs.

The poor fuckers we were, we had to take public transport and I still had pretty much no clue where we were going as I was just starting to get to know this city. I pretty much realised that I'd have to learn Catalan too if I wanted to survive here - and I still didn't know how I'd be able to do that. The bus now took us through a fancier part of town and the houses got bigger and bigger... no, wait a minute.

"Who the hell is your friend, Dan?" I asked angrily.
"Uh..." he stammered, knowing that he had been caught.
"You're taking us to a Barca player's party?" I hissed, not trying to catch anyone's attention in the bus.
"It's a celebration for the Supercopa! And it's your birthday! Free drinks!" he said, trying to turn things around.
"Sara! You knew and didn't tell me!" I accused my best friend.
"Because you never would have come! Come ooonnnn, it's your birthday and this is most probably the coolest party we'll ever go to in our whole lives!" she whined.

"How does someone like you get invited to this anyways?" I asked Dan, hoping not to sound too arrogant, I owed him a lot for these past days and I knew that.
"Hey! I'm cool, for starters? But for big things they invite the close staff too. I'm the kit guy for the midfielders and they're close in age with me. This is Frenkie de Jong's house, number 21, you know?" he explained and I nodded.
"Yeah, lots of people buy his jersey. Not too many superficial fan girls, they seem like solid fans, you know?" I replied, bragging with my knowledge from five days into my new job.

"And besides, you should see this as a networking event. There will be lots of guys with their wives who have kids and they're always looking for babysitters... In case you want to earn some extra money in the evenings" he told me and I melted. He was really looking out for me.
"Sorry for being so angry, thanks. But... He's going to be there... with her" I said sadly. Of course Sara had told her boyfriend everything and that was a good thing. Couples should always tell each other everything in my opinion.

"As will so many other people, you won't probably even run into each other" Sara tried to downplay the situation.
"And he surely won't even remember me..." I mumbled.

Ferran POV

Frenkie's party was already in full swing and I was standing with my best friends Eric and Pedri, sipping on our beers. Sira was talking to Mikky on the couch and I sent her a smile when our eyes locked.
"GAVITO! What has gotten you all blushed and red in the face?!" Eric shouted and pulled our other Golden Boy to our group.
"I just saw the most beautiful girl in my whole life" he gushed, his face very red.
"Did you say hi... or anything else?" Pedri asked and I nodded, also wanting to know. Gavi was very shy when it came to girls... or strangers in general.
