🎶 Blank Space — Taylor Swift 🎶It was a rainy Wednesday afternoon by now and I had finished working but decided to stop for some groceries as Sara and Dan were going out for dinner and there wasn't really a lot left in the fridge. Like on my bank account, so my cart was only carrying very few items, all from the supermarket's budget line. I was aimlessly wandering around, my eyes fixed on shelves that I didn't notice how my cart bumped into someone else's.
"Oh sorry" I quickly mumbled before looking up to see the other person. No way.
"Pay at- oh! Hi" Ferran said and shot me a small smile when he saw it was me. There was a bit of an awkward silence and I just contemplated walking straight away, but after the game I saw, I kind of pitied him and wanted to at least offer some words of comfort.
"How- how are you?" he asked, being quicker in saying something than me.
"I'm ok. I saw the game on Sunday. I... saw you" I mumbled, sounding like a complete idiot and he sighed deeply."Not my best display... How did you like the game?" he asked.
"It's not my favourite sport... yet. I'm very sorry about the missed chance but it could happen to anyone. You'll bounce back stronger next game" I tried to comfort him.
"Yeah... but at a team like Barca... you don't have forever to prove yourself. There's a lot of competition" he said, sounding very defeated.
"Are you seeing someone?" I asked and he looked confused.
"Um... yeah... you know I have a girlfriend..." he stammered and I rolled my eyes."I know... unfortunately" I replied, mumbling the last word under my breath and hoping he wouldn't hear it. "Like... a sports therapist... One of my colleagues at the store, she told me that her brother is one... if you're interested I could ask her... no, forget it, you're the pro, you surely have all the connections" I blabbered stupidly.
"No... no! That... would... actually, that would be very nice" he replied and looked at me calmly, with a small smile.
"Ok... I can... ask... and..." I started but he laughed.
"Now that you can't take back your offer you either have to give me your Instagram or your number... or I have to come visit you at the store again" he chuckled amusedly. My eyes widened as I weighed the options. Coming to the store was a no-no, too many chances of someone seeing us. Instagram was tricky too because someone could see his following list, so I opted to giving him my number. As I was typing it into his phone, he tried his luck again.
"You still haven't told me why you moved away. Boyfriend? Let's see what you have here, maybe it's for a romantic dinner-" he started but when he saw the cheap items, he gathered that something was wrong and I got angry that he was putting his nose into my business."This is nothing that concerns you" I snapped and his expression quickly changed.
"I don't get why you're pissed at me now?!" he snapped back.
"Because..." I started, but didn't actually have an answer.
"My gosh, you were 18, you were naive enough to believe that someone you meet at a club is the one you're going to marry" he said in a sharp tone that threw me back a bit.
"Yeah, since I found out who you really are, I understood that guys like you only see girls like me as a worthless figure to get a nice fuck out of before you go back to your perfect influencer horse girly whose daddy is your boss" I replied sarcastically and batted my eyelashes. That seemed to anger him because he took a step closer to me.
"You know nothing about Sira or her family. And if you want to be precise, he's not my boss anymore." he hissed at me.
"And you know nothing about me, so don't pretend that we're... I don't know, friends or whatever. I keep making the mistake of being nice to you" I replied angrily.
"Poor Dan who has to keep up with you. For his sake, I hope his girlfriend is not as annoying as you" he shot back and my jaw dropped. I was about to think of something to clap back, but he was quicker and started speaking again."Anyways, since you seem to be in some kind of... tricky... situation - have you thought about getting into modeling?" he asked and my eyebrows furrowed.
"Excuse me?" I asked. "First you basically insult me and then you tell me to get into modelling? Are you alright?" I asked angrily.
"Hey! It's a valid question! And easy money!" he defended himself.
"Oh yeah? What type of modelling? OnlyFans or what did you have in mind?" I asked back and for some reason, he smiled.
"I know a model scout, I'm going to send you his contact. Have a nice day, Cata" he said and patted my shoulder before patting my shoulder and pushing his cart away from me.I was left there, stranded in a supermarket aisle, replaying our encounter again and again, trying to find some clues about Ferran's behaviour because it was confusing as hell and I had never met someone this strange. After finishing my shopping and paying, I made my way back home, where I saw that I had gotten a message from an unknown number - it could only be him.

Hello Cata, as promised, Rodrigo's number, I already talked to him. Just call him and he can arrange a casting with his agency.
Would be cool if you could send me that psychologist's number, thx
All the best, FerriMy heart somehow melted, how would I ever get over this crush, especially if he decided to be nice? But he was so hot and cold at the same time, I never knew which one he was. And those weird encounters with him had to stop. Ugh.
Cata
