At the international airport, the flight from Zurich arrived punctually. Xiang Mingzhang elegantly removed his coat from his arm and confidently strode out of the pick-up area with his long legs.
The waiting area was bustling with people, and the driver approached him, taking his suitcase and stating, "Mr. Xiang, allow me to handle it."
With a quick scan of his surroundings, Xiang Mingzhang inquired, "Where is Secretary Chu?"
The driver responded, "Secretary Chu is in the car."
Xiang Mingzhang inwardly scoffed, noting how Chu Zhichen always knows how to maintain an air of importance.
The setting sun cast a fiery glow over the car, bathing it in a warm and inviting light. The car was parked at the terminal building's gate. Chu Zhichen sat in the back seat, his head slightly lowered, revealing half of his profile.
The sky was ablaze with color, the clouds awash in shades of red, orange, and yellow. It was a breathtaking sight. The square window acted as a mesmerizing, yet vaguely colorful, painting screen. The warm glow of the sunset bathed the car in a golden light, and the people passing by were mere shadows.
Approaching the car, Xiang Mingzhang glanced down at Chu Zhichen, who sensed the shadow and lifted his head, setting aside the tablet he held. A stream of black characters flashed across the screen.
The door opened, and Chu Zhichen moved aside, saying, "Mr. Xiang."
Xiang Mingzhang gracefully settled into the car, his long legs comfortably positioned. He asked, "Is the novel any good?"
Chu Zhichen replied, "It's merely for entertainment purposes."
Exchanging coats, Xiang Mingzhang playfully inquired, "Is it boring to pick me up?"
Chu Zhichen responded, "Fortunately, it's certainly not as thrilling as stopping someones, at the airport."
The memory of their confrontation in the lobby flashed through Xiang Mingzhang's mind, causing him to choke slightly. The driver intervened by placing his belongings in the trunk, interrupting their conversation.
As the car departed from the airport, the city was burdened with heavy traffic during sunset. It was too late to return home, so they had no choice but to proceed directly to the banquet.
Chu Zhichen had devised a plan and went to the company beforehand, bringing an extra suit from the president's office. Given the low temperature in Switzerland, the attire Xiang Mingzhang had brought might not be suitable.
He questioned, "Would you like to change in the hotel bathroom?"
Xiang Mingzhang felt the heat immediately after disembarking the plane and replied, "Just change in the car."
Chu Zhichen retrieved the suit bag from the front passenger seat and unzipped it. Coincidentally, Xiang Mingzhang had just removed his knitted jacket, and both the jacket and trousers were of the same style. He had no intention of changing them, but the belt's color did not match the suit. Consequently, he untied the buckle and removed the metal belt.
Mistakenly thinking that Xiang Mingzhang was going to remove his pants, Chu Zhichen averted his gaze, fixating on the window instead.
Meanwhile, Xiang Mingzhang effortlessly donned his shirt, using one hand to button it while fiddling with the suit bag with the other. He inquired, "Do you have a tie?"
Chu Zhichen turned around and responded, "No, I don't."
After briefly reflecting, Xiang Mingzhang realized that the set at the office probably did not include a tie. The driver, understandingly, asked, "Would you like to make a detour and buy one?"
