The morning departure flight was scheduled, and their rendezvous point was the lobby of the terminal building. Chu Zhichen had never been to Shenzhen, only aware of its warm climate, so he had packed the spring clothes that Mrs. Chu had bought for him.

In the midst of the crowd, Xiang Mingzhang stood tall and conspicuous. He was dressed in casual black attire, sporting a pair of earphones.

Having slept in for an extra fifteen minutes that morning, he hurriedly showered and rushed out, leaving his short hair unattended.

Chu Zhichen raised his hand to smooth Xiang Mingzhang's hair and remarked, "You rarely sleep in."

Xiang Mingzhang lowered his head slightly and replied, "I went to the club to exercise last night, so I felt a little tired."

Curious, Chu Zhichen asked, "Did you go wall climbing?"

Disregarding the incorrect term used to describe rock climbing, Xiang Mingzhang corrected him, saying, "Rock climbing, actually."

As Zhou Kesen joined them, he came with the largest amount of luggage. After checking in, the three of them underwent the security check and waited for their flight together.

The business class provided ample space and comfort. Chu Zhichen settled into his seat beside the window. Once the plane took off, he opened his notebook. Lacking experience in business training, he needed to draft a plan beforehand.

During the flight, Xiang Mingzhang, as was his usual habit, delved into a book, reading from the preface to the end of volume one. The sporadic sound of writing filled his ears as he paused his pen multiple times. Chu Zhichen occasionally caught glimpses of floating clouds through the peripheral vision of his window seat.

Xiang Mingzhang began reading the second volume and casually commented, "It's alright if you can't concentrate."

Chu Zhichen, unable to settle down due to his fondness for flying, reviewed the hundred or so words he had written and suggested, "Perhaps it would be better for me to stay at the company and assist Director Peng with the project."

Upon hearing this, Xiang Mingzhang closed his book, tossed it to Chu Zhichen in exchange for his notebook, flipped to a new page, and said, "I brought you along on this business trip, only for you to complain before we even land. Your confidence is growing."

Chu Zhichen clearly noticed the introduction on the book's cover, revealing it was about the history of the changes within the Ningbo Chamber of Commerce in modern times. The bookmark in the second volume was a simple piece of paper.

Recalling the last time they met, at the wedding in Jingpu Mansion, where the couple exchanged vows, Chu Zhichen couldn't help but turn his gaze away.

He uttered, "If Director Xiang were to realize you cannot marry or have children, he would undoubtedly be greatly devastated."

Xiang Mingzhang calmly responded, "He is not just my grandfather; Xiang Rugang already has a child, so we are blessed with four generations."

Chu Zhichen observed, "You treat Director Xiang differently."

Although there was a barely discernable chill in Xiang Mingzhang's expression, his tone remained unaffected as he said, "There is nothing I can do about it."

Chu Zhichen attempted to seize upon this thread, treating it as a loose end to unravel, and continued, "You don't seem to care much."

The tip of Xiang Mingzhang's pen hovered over the paper, yet he remained silent. Just in time, a flight attendant approached them, inquiring about their drink preferences. Xiang Mingzhang swiftly diverted the conversation, requesting, "A glass of lemonade, please."
