On Sunday, Xiang Mingzhang received an invitation to the Chu residence. Knowing that there were matters to discuss, he dressed formally and refrained from bringing extravagant gifts.

Early in the morning, Chu Zhichen sat on the porch's swing chair, eagerly awaiting Xiang Mingzhang's arrival.

They had only met yesterday, yet Chu Zhichen already longed for their company. Today, he maintained a reserved demeanor.

Another car was parked in the garden, as Chu Zhichen had invited Lawyer Lei to join them.

Wearing a double-breasted woolen suit, Xiang Mingzhang asked, "Am I late?"

Chu Zhichen extended his hand and playfully poked the dark gold button. "You're not late at all. The timing is perfect. Let's go inside."

In the reception room on the ground floor, Mrs. Chu, Chu Shihui, and Lawyer Lei were already present. Aunt Tang and Sister Xiu were on vacation for the past two days and had ventured out. The coffee table lacked fresh pastries, only offering a pot of coffee and a plate of fruit.

Chu Zhichen and Xiang Mingzhang settled onto the loveseat, while Chu Zhichen poured coffee for everyone.

After exchanging warm greetings, Mrs. Chu inquired, "Xiao Chen, why have you gathered us all here?"

Chu Zhichen gestured toward Lawyer Lei, retrieved prepared documents, and spoke, "I believe something is amiss with the yacht accident. I have been conducting a secret investigation."

Mrs. Chu puzzledly responded, "Yacht... what do you mean by 'amiss'?"

Chu Zhichen elaborated, "I suspect that the yacht explosion wasn't an accident but a deliberate act."

Mrs. Chu was taken aback. She had initially only been concerned about Chu Zhichen's safety and hadn't paid much attention to the details of the incident. She believed it was all sorted out and had almost forgotten it after so much time had passed.

"How could that be?" Mrs. Chu exclaimed, her voice filled with concern. "Who would do such a thing? Is someone trying to harm you?"

While Chu Shihui was also taken aback, she managed to calm herself a bit. She closely examined the information alongside her mother, while Lawyer Lei described the investigation process and areas of doubt.

Impatiently, Mrs. Chu asked, "Have you found anything?"

Lawyer Lei responded, "The capabilities of our law firm are limited. We owe our gratitude to Mr. Xiang for helping in the investigation."

Casually sipping his coffee, Xiang Mingzhang nonchalantly remarked, "There are two suspects, both of Thai nationality. One of them goes by the name Alan."

Chu Zhichen shared all the details and truthfully relayed the information he had gathered thus far, including being followed by Alan in Guangzhou.

Mrs. Chu clenched her fists and pounded her thigh, exclaiming, "Why didn't you inform the family sooner? If something were to happen again, I couldn't bear it."

Chu Zhichen consoled her, "The investigation was prolonged, hitting a few roadblocks along the way. I was afraid that speaking out too early would only worry you."

Displaying her intelligence, Chu Shihui inquired, "Brother, do you have any leads now?"

Exchanging a subtle glance with Xiang Mingzhang, Chu Zhichen openly expressed their doubts. When the name "Li Zangqiu" was mentioned, he paused for a few seconds, carefully observing Chu Shihui's reaction.

Mrs. Chu embraced Chu Shihui, her brow furrowed as she refrained from voicing objections.

Lawyer Lei, taking on the role of a neutral observer, spoke, "Mr. Li is responsible for the aftermath of the accident. In his haste to suppress the news, he may have overlooked certain suspicious points."
