Chu Zhichen was perplexed by the question: "What does 'top and bottom' mean?"
Xiang Mingzhang turned his head slightly, and Chu Zhichen's eyes were filled with curiosity, reminiscent of his demeanor during the meeting. It seemed as though he wasn't inquiring about physical positioning, but rather about the project's break-even point.
Xiang Mingzhang replied, "On the bed."
After pondering for a few moments, Chu Zhichen finally grasped the meaning and his expression instantly changed. He had lost his dignity earlier at the music festival when he had blended in with the crowd, but discussing matters related to the bed was beyond his comprehension.
The issue was that he had never encountered this kind of question before, let alone considered it.
Should I not concern myself with the customs of the old times?
Is there a rule regarding this matter in the modern era?
Chu Zhichen even contemplated the article titled "Essential Reading for Homosexual Men." However, he didn't have much knowledge on the subject, so he truthfully replied, "I don't know."
Xiang Mingzhang responded, "Don't play dumb."
Chu Zhichen hesitated, partly resisting and partly questioning, "Is this important?"
"I'm curious," Xiang Mingzhang said, as a sense of speculation emerged in his tone, combined with what Qian Hua had mentioned before, "So you've done it before?"
Chu Zhichen couldn't help but glance up at the sky and replied, "I suppose so."
Xiang Mingzhang continued, "That night in the office, was it your first time doing the 'bottom'?"
Chu Zhichen was slightly taken aback and said, "I don't remember."
Though Xiang Mingzhang's voice remained calm, he persistently pursued his line of questioning, "Aren't you famous? Don't you remember who was 'top and bottom'? Or do you not remember what occurred?"
Chu Zhichen stated, "Do you really want to discuss this in broad daylight?"
Xiang Mingzhang retorted, "Why not? Isn't having a conversation in broad daylight sufficiently atmospheric? Or do you prefer the nighttime?"
"I don't prefer it," Chu Zhichen denied. "I simply forgot about that night in the office."
Xiang Mingzhang's voice grew stern. "I don't believe that you forgot."
Step by step, Chu Zhichen was pushed into a corner, feeling as though the carriage had become somewhat cramped. He responded, "Why can't I forget? It was merely an impulsive act after drinking. Should I keep it in my heart to savor later?"
Xiang Mingzhang swiftly changed the subject, "Isn't it worth remembering? Weren't you quite comfortable that night?"
Chu Zhichen's entire body tensed up, and even though he had agreed to treat what had happened that night as if it hadn't occurred, and even if he couldn't forget it, it was an unspoken understanding between them. He never expected to be so directly confronted.
"No," Chu Zhichen's voice dropped to a low, hoarse tone. "It wasn't comfortable at all."
Xiang Mingzhang countered, "You're lying."
Chu Zhichen conceded defeat, tossed the bag on his lap aside, and reached for the door handle. "I won't argue with you. I'll get out of the car."
Just as the car door was slightly ajar, Xiang Mingzhang leaned over and grabbed hold of Chu Zhichen's wrist, swiftly closing the front passenger door with a loud thud.
