Chu Zhichen struggled to comprehend Xiang Mingzhang's words: "What did you say?"
Xiang Mingzhang didn't have time to repeat himself and simply said, "Have a good time."
The call abruptly ended, leaving Chu Zhichen feeling disoriented. He hurriedly left the bathroom, avoiding the bustling crowd as he made his way towards the stairs.
Coincidentally, Qian Hua appeared and met Chu Zhichen head-on. He exclaimed loudly, "Damn, I'm so frustrated! The car broke down halfway, or else I would have arrived earlier!"
Chu Zhichen didn't speak loudly in public, but pointed towards the ceiling, signaling to go upstairs. Qian Hua stopped him, saying, "No need to rush, are you tired of waiting? I'm here now."
Once the warm-up performance on the stage ended, the music suddenly slowed down and the crowd dispersed. Seizing the moment of silence, Chu Zhichen suggested, "Let's go somewhere else."
Qian Hua disagreed, "Why would you want to change the venue? Last time, you agreed to let me decide without any regrets. Besides, it's already done, and there's no point in finding a better place."
Chu Zhichen insisted, "It's too crowded here. I need to talk to you about something important."
"I also have something to do, you'll find out soon!" Qian Hua playfully grabbed Chu Zhichen's shoulder. "By the way, why do I feel like you've gotten taller, or am I shrinking?"
Chu Zhichen couldn't explain, and Qian Hua continued to lead him to the reserved booth. A gentleman couldn't go back on his word.
Colorful drinks were displayed on the coffee table, and Qian Hua asked, "There are so many options. Where do you want to start? Which one do you want to drink?"
Chu Zhichen didn't even have the slightest desire to drink water, as his eyes remained fixed on the stage. The four muscular men on stage were left with only their boots and trousers. When the yellowish light shone upon them, their glistening sweaty bodies stood out.
Exhausted and disoriented, Chu Zhichen asked sincerely, "What kind of place is this?"
Qian Hua replied, "Don't you remember? This is one of the most popular gay bars. You used to love coming here. You told me that there are plenty of 'options' here. Every time you came, you always managed to find someone pleasing to take home."
Chu Zhichen inquired, "What do you mean by 'options' and 'taking home'?"
Qian Hua answered, "A man."
Chu Zhichen had a faint premonition, and he carefully chose his words, but Qian Hua cut him off, saying bluntly, "Dude, you can't even remember that you're gay!"
Chu Zhichen was momentarily stunned, gay...
Qian Hua had remarked, "Don't worry" while they were taking a bath. Peng Xin had also mentioned "not being on the same level" that day. Could it be because the real "Chu Zhichen" had a preference for men?!
That...
At the tea room yesterday, Xiang Mingzhang didn't seem surprised when he saw the content on Chu Zhichen's phone. His response was filled with understanding and respect. Did that mean he already knew?
Lost in his thoughts, Chu Zhichen failed to notice a man in his forties approaching with a bottle of wine - one of the investors of the bar.
The owner made a special effort to greet Chu Zhichen, surprised to see him dressed in a suit and leather shoes, looking calm and collected. He expressed his surprise, saying, "Master Chu, it's been a while. I almost didn't recognize you."
