The apartment had undergone thorough cleaning earlier in the day, leaving it immaculate. Positively gleaming, it was like something out of a magazine.
However, Xiang Mingzhang couldn't help but feel a sense of desolation. He changed his attire and proceeded to the kitchen to prepare a cup of honey water.
To his surprise, it was the last bottle, with only a small amount of liquid left at the bottom. He wondered if it would be sufficient to make another cup.
With the cup in hand, Xiang Mingzhang made his way to the study. The room was a veritable paper mausoleum, its shelves and tables laden with the mortal remains of countless documents and materials, left untouched by the cleaner whenever he was absent.
He settled behind the desk, switching on both the computer and the floor lamp.
Within his mailbox lay an unread email, a proposal sent by Chu Zhichen.
Xiang Mingzhang sighed inwardly, contemplating the moral implications. How absurd was it that the boss expected the secretary to work overtime?
Was it true that the world operated on the principle of tit for tat?
Initially, Chu Zhichen had extended his favor and convinced Xiang Mingzhang to join the company, only to dismiss him later and leave him as a secretary to be ordered around.
Now, the situation seemed to have reversed completely.
Or perhaps this was the price to pay for taking advantage of others?
Unable to resist the overwhelming desire, Xiang Mingzhang's thoughts were consumed by that unforgettable night. On the very same desk, boundaries were shattered as he ardently captured Chu Zhichen's lips.
With a boldness that was both playful and possessive, his hand caressed Chu Zhichen's left shoulder, fingers tracing the tantalizing shape of his collarbone through the fabric like a sculptor molding a work of art. The touch was both gentle and demanding, leaving Chu Zhichen breathless.
With deliberate intent, he slowly skillfully undid Chu Zhichen's tie his fingers lingering on the knot for a moment longer than necessary. Then, he began to unbutton Chu Zhichen's shirt, one button at a time, purposefully disheveling the impeccably groomed appearance that usually defined Chu Zhichen.
His eyes never leaving Chu Zhichen's face. Chu Zhichen's breath hitched as the fabric parted, revealing his smooth, tanned skin. The man's lips curled into a satisfied smile as he saw Chu Zhichen's reaction.
The controlled and composed facade was now replaced with an electrifying disarray, leaving Chu Zhichen flustered and vulnerable.
Although Chu Zhichen feebly attempted to push him away, his efforts proved futile against the insatiable hold of Xiang Mingzhang. Instead, Xiang Mingzhang tightened his grip, relishing in the absence of pain. The once mighty symbol of an eagle on the ring between his fingers was now reduced to a helpless prey, succumbing to his complete mastery.
Why was Chu Zhichen so unfamiliar, unable to vocalize or push back?
Where had his ability to argue and refute gone?
Chu Zhichen was dumbfounded, his focus solely on those eyes.
When Xiang Mingzhang took advantage, Chu Zhichen tightly closed his eyes, but when Xiang Mingzhang's hand moved, he opened them. His long, dark lashes fluttered like the wings of a moth, and his eyes widened in shock, revealing a hint of red beneath the lids. His lips parted slightly, and his breath hitched in his throat. He was clearly flustered, but there was also a glint of desire in his eyes.
