Chu Zhichen suddenly became busy, realizing that the matter of borrowing money needed to be settled before the second exchange.
As the president's office remained locked, Xiang Mingzhang went to Hangzhou and Chu Zhichen continually came and went throughout the day, unable to resist taking a glance each time.
In order to concentrate manpower, Chu Zhichen led the business team to station in the special research room, diligently working together to complete the detailed analysis report.
This report would serve as Xiang Yue's bargaining chip. Chu Zhichen strove for perfection, understanding that the accuracy of its content would give them greater leverage in front of Hu Xiushan.
After two days of working overtime, with disheveled clothes, the report was finally finished, and Chu Zhichen had his second meeting with Hu Xiushan. They met in Hu Xiushan's office, engaging in a conversation that lasted two and a half hours.
Hu Xiushan expressed great satisfaction and ensured the availability of funds for the urgently needed project, assuring them of swift progress in the future.
The interaction between Xiang Yue, the government officials, and the bank proceeded smoothly. However, before the contract signing, Chu Zhichen took advantage of the opportunity to hold a meeting.
Inside the meeting room, the air conditioning was quite strong, prompting everyone to remove their coats and wear only their shirts. Chu Zhichen, always neatly dressed, stood at the podium, with only his black hair slightly disheveled due to the rush.
Several topics were outlined on the whiteboard, and Chu Zhichen spoke while writing with a thick black charcoal pen between his fingers.
"Our loan plan is nearing its end. To be blunt, our small favor for Hu Xiushan is coming to an end," Chu Zhichen stated. "The other party understands our requirements for their selection process. Therefore, we need to review the selection team and strengthen our contacts."
He then proceeded to outline a list of tasks and assigned them to the relevant individuals. "All supervisors, review and determine if any adjustments are necessary."
The project manager raised a concern, "Secretary Chu, the general manager of the selection team is on Party A's list, but he hasn't contacted any company."
Chu Zhichen replied, "We have already formed a partnership with Hu Xiushan. Whether the general manager will treat Xiang Yue differently can only be known if we make an attempt."
The manager nodded in understanding, "Okay, I will arrange it as soon as possible."
After the conclusion of the meeting, competing companies believed that Xiang Yue had met its downfall, with a few ready to take the opportunity to replace those who found it amusing. Little did they know that Xiang Yue had managed to rise again against the odds.
Xiang Mingzhang continued to suppress this news, while Chu Zhichen maintained a similar stance, reminding everyone, "The date for the second exchange will be announced soon, and all the companies are diligently working. We only need to focus on Xiang Yue's situation. We have had our share of the limelight, and we don't need it anymore."
Everyone obediently agreed, both those working together and those in leadership positions. As the plan progressed step by step, the project team unanimously placed their trust in Chu Zhichen's guidance.
At the end of the meeting, Chu Zhichen cleared the whiteboard and began packing his belongings when his phone rang.
Xiang Mingzhang had sent a photo of West Lake.
Chu Zhichen saved the photo, observing the cold winter day at West Lake, devoid of the shimmer found under a clear sky. Its hues were dominated by a chilly grayish-green tone. He liked to say, "True beauty always shines, whether adorned with light or heavy makeup."
