Chu Zhichen brought a piece of "Broken Array" back to his office but realized he had no proper packaging for it. In the absence of a roll, he improvised by using a few pieces of foam paper to protect it.

When he first laid eyes on this calligraphy, he was truly impressed. What he sought to preserve in this painting was the raw emotions poured out by Xiang Mingzhang onto the paper.

During their visit to the exhibition hall earlier, Xiang Mingzhang handed Chu Zhichen the tender document as well.

Chu Zhichen understood that this decision indicated Xiang Mingzhang's trust in him and recognized his value. It also revealed his personal preference and self-interest.

Therefore, Chu Zhichen resolved to give his best effort, whether in his public or personal capacity.

The bidding document was a substantial book, so Chu Zhichen drew up an outline to guide the writing of the business bid according to the specified requirements.

The once bustling noise outside gradually subsided until everyone had departed. Xiang Mingzhang appeared at the door with his bag and car keys, remarking, "It's time to leave work."

After a week of investigations, Chu Zhichen closed his notebook and said, "You've been seeing me off for the past few days. Today, it's not too late. I'll take a taxi instead."

Xiang Mingzhang approached, signaling the end of their trip to Ningbo. They would now return to their respective positions and fully devote themselves to their work. Each day, they maintained a certain distance in the company, only occasionally letting loose, still not quite as close as the time when the staff gossiped in the tea room.

Xiang Mingzhang played with the gladiolus leaves and extended an invitation, saying, "Come to my apartment tonight."

Chu Zhichen adjusted his jacket slightly and gave an implicit response, "I'm hungry."

Without directly refusing, he effectively agreed. Xiang Mingzhang suggested, "Let's grab something to eat first."

The road was heavily congested, and Xiang Mingzhang drove around in circles. Either the best restaurants were fully booked, or they were faced with a multi-hour wait in line.

Being close to the bustling commercial center, the streets were adorned with red and green neon lights, signaling the upcoming Christmas festivities.

Bomanjia's building was situated on the adjacent street. Chu Zhichen glanced out the window and suddenly said, "Allow me to treat you tonight."

These streets were home to highly popular restaurants where reservations needed to be made weeks in advance, especially during weekends and holidays.

Xiang Mingzhang commented, "The key is finding a place with available seats."

Chu Zhichen smiled and replied, "I have connections nearby."

The Rolls-Royce was parked by the side of the road. Xiang Mingzhang got out of the car and noticed the restaurant's signboard. He remembered that Qian Hua had invested in this establishment. Several times after work, he had seen Qian Hua's Hummer parked in front of the restaurant, obstructing the entrance.

Chu Zhichen had been to this restaurant twice - once before its grand opening and once on the day of the opening itself. On the latter occasion, Qian Hua left his guests behind and berated him. The restaurant manager recognized Chu Zhichen and arranged a window seat with a panoramic view.

This was Xiang Mingzhang's first time at the restaurant, and he found the ambiance and atmosphere even more sophisticated than he had imagined.

Just as they were about to place their orders, Qian Hua descended from his upstairs office, complaining as he approached, "Chu Zhichen, why didn't you call ahead when you came here..."
