David is taking a long walk, across the countrysides of New York as he just left the hospital and he notices a small country pub. He decides to walk in and order a pint. He turns round and sees his brother, James sitting down across him. He never thought he would see him again after the situation between James and Snow. David still feels angry at him but he thought to himself, what's the point in arguing and he goes and sits across his brother.

"Long time no see!" James smiled softly

"It's been a while..." David sighs as he smiles slightly

"I know" James nodded, surprised to see David in this pub

"You just sort of disappeared again, why?" David sips his drink, feeling confused

"Well, after what happened between us, Snow.. I thought it'd just stay away" James thought, feeling abit guilty

"Without texting me? I would of understood and it would of been nice to let me know" David sighed firmly

"I'm sorry" James apologised

"I thought we already sorted out situation out? I said i forgive you and i know it wasn't all you.." David tells him as he knows now it was all Rumple

"What do you mean, it wasn't all me?" James asked, feeling confused

"It don't matter" David sips his drink  "So, you're back now?" David says, his voice tinged with skepticism.

"Yes but i decided to stay away, especially from Snow.. She wasn't right in the head was she..." James looks at his brother, sensing his guardedness.

David tenses at James's words. "Don't talk about Snow like that. She was just upset and confused." he says firmly, defending his partner. He takes another sip of his drink, trying to control his emotions.

James holds his brother's gaze, understanding the depth of their disagreement. "I didn't mean it like that..." he says softly. "I just... Snow is a complex person. You know that, don't you?"

David takes a deep breath, sighing heavily. "I know she can be difficult sometimes, but she's also the most incredible person I've ever met. She's been through so much, and she's fighting every day to overcome her darkness." he explains, his tone filled with both frustration and admiration.

"So you're back together now?" James asked, remembering that kiss he had with Snow

David nods, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Yes, Snow and I are together. We've been working through our issues and trying to strengthen our relationship. I love her, James. More than anything."

"I'm happy for you... Thing is, we don't know each other well do we? I tried to get to know you when i saw you again but.. It's been a long time since the last time we met and i was a villain back then" James explained

David nods in agreement. "You're right, James. We've definitely had our differences and conflicts in the past, and our relationship has been far from perfect. But there's no denying the fact that we are brothers, and we share a blood connection."

"That's why i ran away after what happened with you, me and Snow. I'm not used to all this loving, protective family, i was scared.. I want to get to know you but i can't!" James explains more

David listens carefully to James's words, starting to understand the depth of his brother's confusion and emotional turmoil. He takes a deep breath, feeling a mixture of empathy and impatience. "James, you can't just keep running away every time things get tough or complicated. That's not how a family works. We have to face our problems and learn from them. You can't just disappear whenever you want." he says firmly, determined to encourage him to embrace their bond.
