Regina's jaw drops, her eyes widening in shock as she sees Daniel standing before her. Her mind struggles to process the sight, disbelief and awe etched across her face. Every memory, every feeling from their time together floods her heart, reawakening the love she once held for him.Snow, standing beside Regina, shares in her surprise, her eyes growing wide as saucers at the sight of Daniel. Her own shock mingles with a sense of wonder, her mind likely spinning with a million questions.
With a swift motion, Regina throws herself into Daniel's arms, enveloping him in an embrace filled with both relief and disbelief. "I can't believe you're here," she mumbles, her words muffled against his chest. Her voice is thick with a mixture of emotions - joy, surprise, and confusion. "I thought you died... How... how are you here?"
Daniel's arms instinctively wrap around Regina, pulling her closer in a tight embrace. He buries his face in her hair for a moment, taking in the familiar scent, before slowly pulling back to look at her. His eyes rake over her face, as if he's committing every feature to memory.
"I'm as confused as you are," he finally murmurs. His voice is deeper than Regina remembers, the years lost giving him a more mature air. "I... I've been trying to find you for so long... I don't even know how I'm here..."
Snow, who has remained silent, watching the reunion unfold, suddenly pipes up, her voice a hushed whisper meant only for Regina to hear. "Regina," she murmurs, her words tinged with wonder and realization.
"Remember... remember when the Black Fairy brought everyone back to life? Maybe... maybe that's what brought Daniel back too."
Regina lets out a deep breath, the realization clicking into place in her mind. "Yes," she agrees quietly. "Of course, it all makes sense now. Just like when Robin came back."
Her eyes flicker back to Daniel, her expression a mixture of tenderness and uncertainty. "Daniel," she begins, her voice a touch more firm. "I... I think we need to talk. There's a lot I need to explain. Let's go inside and sit down there."
As Regina turns to Snow, her eyes wide and urgent, Daniel settles onto the nearest seat, his gaze flickering between the two women. Regina's question hangs in the air, her voice reflecting her own surprise and uncertainty. "Does that mean... that Cora, my mum... would be alive too?"
Snow's expression changes as realization dawns on her face. "If everyone who died has come back... that means..." she gasps, her eyes locking with Regina's. "...that means my mum... would be alive too. Basically, everyone from the Enchanted Forest?"
Regina huffs in a mix of frustration and resignation, her voice filled with determination. "The Black Fairy," she mutters, shaking her head. "She's already messing things up, even from the grave."
Snow chimes in, her words interrupting Regina's thoughts. "Let's worry about that another day," she suggests practically. "You have a lot to discuss with Daniel. I'll go check on Neal."
Regina nods absently, her attention already being directed back towards Daniel. "Yes," she murmurs, her eyes meeting his once more. "You're right, Snow. I... I'll talk to Daniel."
Snow offers a final supportive smile before leaving the room, giving Regina and Daniel a moment alone.
Regina sinks into the seat next to Daniel, her movements slow, her heart racing. Her hand finds his, fingers intertwining as she holds onto him tightly. "I can't believe... you're here," she whispers, her voice thick with emotion. "It's been so long. I've... I've missed you so much."
