Now, Hanuman knew he needed to meet Ravana. He needed to warn that sorry excuse of a man, how much ever pointless that might be, about the huge disaster that he himself had invited in the form of Sita Haran

But what he also knew was that Ravana had an ego huger than anything in the world, only smaller than his Prabhu Rama's greatness. So, it was next to impossible to meet him if he just went and asked nicely for an appointment, like any sane person would do.

So, he decided to take the route of insanity. If he created enough havoc for the king to interfere, then perhaps he could meet Ravana. Yes, that seemed a good enough option. Now, to create havoc, he would need to start with property damage.

Also, he was quite hungry. Before, his sheer grit to complete what he had started made him forget his hunger and thirst, but now that he finally met Maa Sita, he felt really, really hungry. So, in an attempt to shoot two birds in a single shot, he climbed the trees in Ashoka Vatika and freed the trees of their burden by plucking out the fruits quite roughly, attracting a fair amount of attention.

The guards looked at the innocent Vanara inquisitively, before they collectively attacked him with their bows and arrows and spears and maces and what not. But Hanuman very simply retorted by throwing uprooted trees at them, as though they were his toys of something.

The messengers, alarmed at the state the garden was in, ran to inform their king. Hanuman chuckled. His plan was going just like he thought it would.

Next came Akshaya Kumara, who was apparently one of Ravana's sons. He was a young prince, with a great determination to do something and prove himself to his father, The king. And so, he held his chin high up in air and loaded arrows in his bow. He shot them towards Hanuman, who swatted them away as though they were some play things or something.

And hence it started, the fight between Hanuman and Akshaya kumara. The prince shooted arrows one after the other, all of which had failed. Why? Because Hanuman had a boon of being unharmed by any weapon that came his way.

But Akshaya had no such boon. Hence, while he did resist Hanuman's blows for a while, He eventually met his end when Hanuman threw a tree at him.

********************

Ravana was seething. Like, his mountain size ego had been broken with a single blow, that too a mere monkey? HOW?

He spared a glance, a single glance towards the throne of his favorite son, Meghanada, and the said prince knew what he was required to do. He rose from his throne gracefully, a part of his angavastra clutched in his fist, and basically stomped his way up the throne of his father and quickly brushed his fingers against Ravana's golden shoes

"Permit me, Father" He said, and got up as soon as he felt his father's hand touch his head. He grabbed his weapon and stormed out like a whirlwind.

***************

Turns out, The Vanara wasn't 'mere' after all. But wouldn't the earth collapse and sky break down if Ravana and co. accepted that? It sure would. But it was very apparent to anyone who is even remotely sensible, someone like Mandodari, Ravana's first and chief Queen, that Hanuman was not mere

Because no 'mere' person, or monkey, could survive all the celestial weapons hurled towards them. But Hanuman had. Meghanada, the so called 'Indrajit' had exhausted all the weapons he had in his collection, but had failed to even injure Hanuman. Finally, he had shot the Bhramastra towards him, as a last resort. And finally, Hanuman was captured. But what poor lil Meghu didn't know was that, Hanuman could have dodged that as well if he had wanted, but chose to comply only so that he could meet Ravana.
