"She is physically fine, Prabhu. She awaits you, and misses you, every moment of every day, and wishes for you to come for her as soon as possible. She tells you that she is ready to wait until the time ends, and that she would fight Ravana as long as she lives." Hanuman finished, looking at his own feet
Rama was speechless. He looked at Hanuman with tears in his eyes, but his lips were smiling. He knew, of course he knew that she would wait for him. She always trusted him more than he trusted himself, and he knew she would continue to wait for him with all that love in her eyes. But to hear it from her, even if it was indirect, made him feel like he was the luckiest man in the universe. How had he ended up with such an iron willed woman?
He also knew that he wouldn't let her down. He would never make her feel that she put her trust in the wrong person. He would fight for her, he would fight for her until he ceased to exist, for she was his very breathe. Lanka, on the other end of ocean, was it? Was that where the love of his life caged? Very well. He would go there with his brother and all his friends and get her back. He would go get her even if she was caged in Patala. What was Lanka in comparison?
He held her Chudamani in his trembling palms, staring at it with no expression, contrary to the storm of thoughts in his mind. It evoked so many memories that Rama was left speechless. The first time they met, the Swayamvara, the wedding-s, their days after it, the exile, everything. Until it came to the part where she was snatched away from him by the world. That's where he decided to blink.
"Very well, then! Lanka it is. I think we must start tomorrow, if that's okay with you people" Rama looked at the soldiers, who hooted and yelled and cheered and everything to show their excitement. Rama smiled, walking towards Hanuman
"Thank you, Hanuman" His voice was barely above a slight whisper. He clutched the hand of his new found best friend, who smiled at him reassuringly
"Thank you so very much"

Lakshmana sat under a tree that night, with nothing except his thoughts for company.
Rama had fallen asleep, finally, after a lot of trial and error. He had been smiling that whole day, which made Lakshmana feel happy. Lakshmana too, after a long, long time, was smiling for a large part of the day. Every vein in his body danced with excitement that finally, finally they would be doing something other than sitting and waiting.
Hanuman had met him in private, a while after the gathering they had when the whole story was narrated, and had told him what his mother, his Sita Maa, had asked to convey
That made the smile fall off his face. he hung his head, rubbing his hands together to find his way to some composure. It didn't look like he was succeeding.
In his opinion, his Bhabhi didn't need to apologize, for what she did wasn't wrong. She was worried for his bhaiyya, and Lakshmana's heart warmed up at the fact that she was ready to do anything if it meant that bhaiyya would be safe, and if he bore the burnt of her anger caused due to that moment of panic, then he would say with all his heart that her harsh accusations were no less than her blessings for him.
But just like a child would agree that his mother had the right to scold him, but wouldn't be able to erase her harsh words spoken in anger from his mind and would end up sobbing at the end of the day, Lakshmana too had eventually buried his head in his arms and had started to tear up
What on earth had possessed him to leave the cottage? It was easily the worst decision he could ever have taken, and he regretted it every second of every day. Whenever he closed his eyes, he wished, somewhere deep down, that this was all some sort of nightmare and that his Bhabhi was safe and they were all at Panchavati, safe and secure.
