Ravana, after getting over his initial shock of seeing Rama and Lakshmana alive, and well, unharmed, sat on his throne, looking off at a distance

Meghanada sat on his own throne, his head in his hands.

"Let me go, Maharaja!" A voice booked in the silent court, making Meghanada look up, annoyed. It was Dhumraksha.

Ravana grinned
"Perfect" He whispered, before nodding his approval. Dhumraksha smiled evilly, and strode out of the room. Ravana looked hopeful, while Meghanada continued his brooding.

*************

It was useless to expect any sort of rational behaviour from these demons, and anyone who did so, was too innocent for this big bad world

Because you know what that Dhumraksha did, as soon as he entered the battlefield? That fool picked up a duel with Hanuman, of all people in the army.

He attacked Hanuman with his mace, accompanied by a loud roar, and hit his chest, thinking that would be enough to finish the Vanara off. But turns out it wasn't, because Hanuman didn't even flinch as the weapon met its mark.

Instead, He just glared at Dhumraksha, and swung his own mace at the Rakshasa. Dhumraksha ducked right in time, and stumbled a bit. Hanuman, however, wasn't quite done with the guy.

Dhumraksha attempted to grab Hanuman's wrists, to, I don't know, slam him to the ground, maybe. But ofcourse, Hanuman, the son of wind, was way quicker.

He hit his mace to Dhumraksha's head strongly, making the sound of collision echo through the battlefield. Dhumraksha stumbled again, but this time, he didn't, or rather, couldn't gather himself to stand up again. Instead, he just fell back, blood pouring out of his head in alarming amounts. His vision blacked out, and his chest stopped rising.

The cheers of the excited Vanaras ran through the battlefield, and the war resumed

**************

The next sacrificial lamb, oh sorry, The next warrior sent by the King of Lanka was named Vajramashtra. Right. That was his name. When Lakshmana heard of it, he and Angada came to a silent conclusion that before this guy, the one who named him must be killed.

"I respect Papa and Gurudeva on a new level from today, bhaiyya" He said seriously, for which Rama raised his eyebrows

"I can't thank them enough for giving our names a proper thought before the Namakaranam. If not anything else, at least we have fairly acceptable names to call ourselves. These people call us hermits, and bring gold chariots to show off, but what is the use, when your name is Vajramashtra? People are going to laugh at you anyways!"
Rama looked at him in disbelief for a moment, before he burst out laughing

"We must also tell Shatrughan about our luck, then. Maybe he would then stop cribbing about how his name is so long, and instead be grateful that he wasn't named something like Vajramashtra" Rama countered, to which Lakshmana nodded with a barely suppressed smile

And while Lakshmana was busy roasting that guy left and right, Angada stood in front of his chariot, with his mace on his shoulder, looking at him with an unreadable expression

Vajramashtra, very predictably, burst out laughing, apparently finding it very hilarious, that a little monkey was here to fight him. Angada just raised an eyebrow stylishly, his lips curving into a sarcastic smile

He didn't utter a words, but just smashed his mace onto the demon's chariot, all while he was busy laughing. Vajramashtra stopped laughing when he saw his chariot being broken into pieces due to a single blow made by the little monkey
